What a day yesterday - what with the vet trip for his paw, the concerns over Convenia, and a mellow yellow surf day. We are starting out today with a 262. I'm almost glad to see it, as I think it is an acceptable enough number for me to be able to go , so I shall. I have set food for Mannie in his auto feeder, and DH will be home for a bit this morning to make sure he eats it all. I've elected to go with a 6% carb, just to ensure that Mannie will be safe while I am gone. I hope to be back for his +10, traffic be willing.

I would like to thank everyone that visited Mannie's condo yesterday, and for all the support from everyone. You guys truly are the best!

Mannie is doing very well this morning. he's very energetic, happy, cuddly. His paw seems fine - and I will give it a good check when I get home today. Breffis #1 has been eaten - he is very hungry this morning. Interior has been secured, he's busy getting in a nap before DH awakes and gives him a brief morning stint in the outdoors. and post convenia: no symptoms, so we are feeling a little better this morning about the whole thing.

I didn't get a chance to see how mannie did after the vet visit .. poor guy! I hope his little foot feels better ... I know it is hard not to stress about the convenia .. my civvie twix had one last year as well for an infected rodent ulcer .. I didnt know the dangers of it either and thank goodness no side effects happened .. I am sure mannie will be fine, enjoy your hike!

Hi Michelle. Glad Mannie's foot feels better. That +1 doesn't look pretty, but you know that +1 can be higher than ps. As Pat said, he was telling you to go out and have a good time :-D

Hi Michelle, You are probably out on the trail as I write this, so I hope that your hike is lots of fun. Mannie will be fine. Stu will come over to visit him later and they can talk about their experiences with the droolers.

I think the number is probablly Mannie's way of protesting the vet visit. Hope his paw feels better soon. Enjoy your outing, breathe some fresh air for me

To all my FD buddies: THANK YOU FOR THE CHICKEN SOUP, AND THE TUNA TARLETS! I was so happy that you guys came and hung out with me today. I really do love this cat. I can sit with him at bed time tell him what the next day will bring, and he gives me a number that will work. Told him today was a hike day, and maybe we could get a yellow? maybe? And when I get back blue would be really cool. and that is what he did. I couldn't ask for anything more... cat_pet_icon

Devon - thanks for the words on covenia. I am glad Mocha did ok with it. It just made me sick yesterday when I read what it possibly could do. omg.... and never again.

and to everyone else: fantastic hike - no doubt one of the best I have ever been on. It was a new one for me - i should have photos posted maybe tomorrow on my "adventures" link. This one wound it's way through the north cascades, with views of all the mountain ranges, phenomenal. fall color was just starting, but still so pretty. Top elevation was 6800, and you truly could see just about everything. I witnessed one adventurous soul that was climbing the adjacent glacier - 8800 feet up. Amazonian.

Ok - for the FD stuff - 185 at pmps - what a great number to come home to - we shall see what he does with it. He was very happy to see me - lots of purrs, and he's now on the deck, laying in the sun. His foot seems to be healing well - phew! I hope to visit condos tonight, once i remove all this trail dust....

Hi Roni - I figured he would... take me on a short journey that is. He is funny - gives me the day I need, then that night it's like he's thinking - OK, my turn! oh well - why not huh? Maybe it won't be too bad... :lol: :lol: oh - I just posted the photos, no captions yet, but the shots are there. It was really a great place - high in what a re very exceptional mountains.

104 @ +5 - I will test again at +6, see what's up.... maybe some ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzz?

:lol: :lol: no - not too sure that this is Mannie.... but thanks to you both. It was nice to come home to blue, and watch a slow descent to green.

Thx on the photos Ann - it was such a beautiful place - the views just never stopped throughout the whole hike. Just amazing.

Tess: YES! on Stu's tomorrow - great idea on being there when he gets home. ~~ Mannie
