Yesterday at Tricia's House of Chaos

Do not adjust your computer. It is I, the Late Condo Queen, posting my second daytime condo in a row!

Miracles do happen! Just don't get too used to it.

Cinco is having one of those annoying, flat mid-blue cycles today. Bowling starts up again tonight, so he'd better not have any mischief planned. I have been without my garlic pretzel bites for three weeks and the withdrawal is still fresh in my mind. Cinco, any moonlight swimming must take place at +6 or later! Hear me????

STOP THE PRESSES: Both girls joined the CPC this morning!! I know! Minka not only plowed through her breakfast, before her tummy meds had kicked in, but she has had THREE refills!!!

DH said that when he came down to do Cinco's t/f/s, he put the bowl of baby food I'd left out when I went to bed in front of her and she ate it. Big change from 3 hours earlier, when she was still barely licking a little off a spoon. Sasha, too, ate all her breakfast in one go and 75% of her seconds right off the bat. It's cool and breezy today. Coincidence? I think not.

Harvey was slow getting started this morning, but the hoover seems to be almost up to full song now. Cinco was CPC, as usual.

The Oncology coordinator from UCD called me bright and early this morning (but actually not so early that he woke me, for a change) and said they'd scheduled Sasha for 1:30 tomorrow, which is a pretty good time slot for me, with all the things I have to get done in the mornings. Now if I could just get that OTHER call that I've been waiting for....:nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting:

I got so much done around here yesterday that I am feeling really motivated to get something done today, too. Maybe I should just sit down until the feeling passes. ;):p:joyful:

Gotta go give the girls their meds and get Minka's fluids warming. BBL. Have a great Monday, everyone!

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans, especially Marilyn & Polly, Carla & her civvie Baby, Wendy & civvie Theo, and Marje & Gracie. :bighug: Prayers continue for Amy's DF, Lyresa's DF and DH, Marje's DM, Chris' DM, Molly's DM, and Elise's DM.

Great report here...Cinco, play nice tonight, OK? Yay for CPCs and happy appies. Now girls, keep it that way....OK? Please?

Enjoy bowling tonight, Tricia!

Wow....So happy to hear the girls ate so well today!! Let's hope it's the start of a new trend! One where you don't have to follow them around with a jar of baby food and a spoon all day (might even find time to do some of those icky chores around the house!)

Great that they're getting Sasha in so quickly too....let's get her feeling better so you have one less worry on your plate!

Now Cinco....I've told China that she's not to try to get you to go swimming tonight (at least until after mama gets home from her pretzel fix) but you're going to have to be strong and ignore her when she starts whispering in your ear! You know how she is!!

Have fun at bowling tonight Tricia!!

Cinco's surgeon called as we were driving to Sacramento. The mass in his throat was basically some benign tissue - I didn't catch the exact term she used, but she said is was nothing to be concerned about. However, the mass on his forehead is lymphoma. I believe she said "b cell lymphoma". When I take Sasha in tomorrow, I will be scheduling an appointment for Cinco to find out what is next. Dr. Majeske said that they will be discussing him in their weekly Oncology meeting tomorrow (the oncologists, radiation oncologists and surgery oncologists all get together to discuss cases they are working on). This is not what we hoped for, but at least we know what we're up against. Vines accepted.

Another weird cycle, lower at PMPS. I wish I knew what causes that. Loaded up Otto with 8%. Surf safely, Cinco. Mama needs her pretzel bites.

All kitties were eating when we left. BBL.

YIPPEE on his throat! That's one concern down! I'm sending healing vines for the lymphoma . . . and thinking that you've got him at the best, possible place to get good care for your little guy. University hospitals are the most up to date you could possibly be, and that's exactly what you need with something like this.

Yo Deputy Cinco,
I'm bringing the best vines to the lagoon tonight so that all will go well with your treatment and that the team of doctors will come up with a good plan.
Rusty

Tricia, that is good news about the benign tumor. I hope that there will be hopeful news about the other.

Hugs, scritches for the whole gang,

Ella

Sorry to hear about the dx on the forehead mass. I hope that they can come up w/ a good treatment plan.

Cinco, iz the beans gone? We'z all outside w/ KTSS, EVERYones wanted to come! We figgered to gets a head start to makes you get better sooner! -- Tess

Well not the news we wanted, but at least you know what you're up against now....and those UCD docs have worked miracles for your kitties before, so I'm sure they'll have a good treatment plan ready for him when you get there

Cinco's a tough kitty....he'll get through this!

Thank you all for the visits and vines and support. I'm feeling more shattered than I expected. It's not like I didn't see this coming. I was just hoping so hard it wasn't true. This poor little guy doesn't deserve to go through all this trauma. Hasn't he been through enough? And through it all, he just keeps on truckin'. At least his numbers are pretty good. Looks like he and China had a nice relaxing evening on the beach.

Time for me to get everyone's meds and Minka's fluids ready. Thanks again for the good thoughts and prayers.

Tricia I'm so sorry about the lymphoma again. At least it should be responsive to treatment. Poor Cinco just can't seem to catch a break. He's one tough cookie though and will handle the treatment well I'm sure. It just isn't fair.:bighug::bighug::bighug:

Aw, I'm sorry, Tricia....we were all hoping and praying with you. But as Elise said, it should be response, especially since it's only been treated surgically so far. You have an amazing medical staff at your hands, and Cinco has amazing beans at his paws!! Piling on more prayers...

(((Tricia))) I'm so sorry, I was hoping for better news, but at least the throat is good... I'm so glad you have such a great medical team to help, Cinco has been through so much he deserves a break:(. He is one tough kitty! Prayers and vines for a good treatment and for that forehead stuff to disappear!:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:.

I'm happy to hear that everyone ate well today:):). I hope you managed to have some fun last night, and got your pretzel bites. I'm piling on the vines for all of you, and hugs:bighug:

Da*n! But Cinco's a proven fighter; so is his bean. And you've got a great medical team in your corner. Plus you're all being overrun with L*LL vines, light, and prayers.

Step by step. We're all walking with you.

But you only have to fight half the battle that you might have had to. Many prayers for you all. If there is one person and one cat here that can beat this....it is you two.

Oh Tricia! I'm so sorry to hear about Cinco. At least you know now and can start taking action instead of waiting. Healing vines and hugs and purrs for you both. :bighug:
