Happy wednesday!

Binks is sporting pink pajamas for his 7th cycle at 1.0 unit...you look really cute in them, guy, but mayhaps a different color?

and as today happens to be the only day this week we have the luxury...we're calling this a BTB number!!
The Tortie girls chose to stay outside last night...and after Lil Mister had 3 small feedins of fuds...he seemed much recovered
from his hurling activities of the early evening.

Fed at his +8, but had 2 unsuccessful test attempts and opted to let him snooze til the dawn.

this will be us for the next hour or so...BBL!

Re: 9/14 Binks amps 393

Pink is better than red!! Hey Binksy, when your mamabean wakes up, let's see that she is presented with a nice yellow number, OK?

Ella & Rusty

p.s. That is one cute pic!

Re: 9/14 Binks amps 393

Binks, PINK...really??? So NOT a good color for you! C'mon on down into the yellows at least!

Cute picture.....

Re: 9/14 Binks amps 393

C'mon down to yellow Binks. Sammy is waiting for you. Though he's in pink too, it's low pink.

Re: 9/14 Binks amps 393

Pink patience pants seem to be the stylin' choice for today ohmygod_smile Binks, yellow is a nicer color for little boys.

Re: 9/14 Binks amps 393 +3 374 a non-urgent question

neither one of us had much luck on the nappus...so we laid around for an hour cuddling and discussing
our return to the juice...a very positive experience :-D
knew it could happen, hope it's a short stay, but will just take it one day at a time
(an approach Binks is well-versed in from his Kibblers Anonymous experience)

Question:
I assume that he is considered a long term diabetic this go-round,
but are we still considered "data ready" for shooting low?

Re: 9/14 Binks amps 393 +3 374 non-urgent question

Binksy- why no nappus? Don't you know that those are the best!!! Though, I guess cuddles are a good second!

Re: 9/14 Binks amps 393 +3 374 +6 372 non-urgent question

That pic is darling - that's my little Siamese napping! Binkster, please come on down to yellow. Binksy, if you don't come down your Momma will be giving more juice, ya hear!

Celi, to get more notice for the advisors, it helps to go up to the subject line and click on the little ? icon. Then it stands out that you have a question! Hi ya Binksy from your pal, Maggie.

Re: 9/14 Binks amps 393 +3 374 +6 372 non-urgent question

thanks for the tip, Ann...

though it may be awhile before we need an answer

we're jealous that you have a kitten like that pic...
we're still missing the Foster Cutie a bit...
Binks is now taking the toy Scooter left here to bed with him each night.
he was a charmer...and won Binks over in about 3 days...
Of course, he had me at "Meow". :-D

Re: 9/14 Binks amps 393 +3 374 +6 372 non-urgent question

Aww, it's too bad you couldn't keep the foster kitty. I almost had a Siamese kitty like the pic, but the foster mom decided to keep her. Maybe it was meant to be though as I'm finding most apartments now only allow one pet, can you imagine! I wondered about being a Foster Mom and how hard it would be to give them up when you get attached.

Re: 9/14 Binks amps 393 +3 374 +6 372 non-urgent question

oh, don't think i could give up a kitty, even to a good home, after i'd fostered one. i can't even go visit the humane society without wanting to take em all home!

wow, impressed by Bink's nosedive down from the 393! gotta watch that boy! ;-)

Re: 9/14 Binks amps 393 +3 374 +6 372 non-urgent question

I'd say that you could safely shoot a 372, but you'd better wait for some more-experienced eyes.

Hmmmmmm.......I think by the time he gives you a low pre-shot number, you will be data ready! Glad to see a little movement.....a little more would be nice!

Re: 9/14 Binks amps 393 +3 374 +6 372 non-urgent question

Oh I am sorry I didn't realize that Binks was back on the juice. Come on down Binks and keep Morgaine company in the blues. Do it slowly and keep it steady. She likes handsome boys like you.

This is exactly how we ended up with Trixie...she showed up nearly starved to death on our back porch, foster homes with the rescue group we got the rest of our herd from were full, so we agreed to foster her. That was 7 years ago....

Nice to see that Binks is a movin' and a shakin' now!!!

Yes and yes! Now, if Binks would just let you shoot low.

Re: 9/14 Binks amps 393 +3 374 +6 372 non-urgent question

Hi Celi!

Hope my buddy's stay isn't too long on the juice. Maybe he just wants some attention.

I fostered a kitty [Ally] I found at work till the no kill shelter had room. It took one evening and by the next morning she was mine. :? She turned out to be a good fit with the other kitties and she's a sweetie.

As far as your question at first I thought yes, but things change so maybe you need more data. See what others think.

BTW Love the pic! Don't you just love the way a cat can sleep. :-D

Have a nice night.

   Ella!!!

and Binks...

as far as the Cutester...i feel we've got about all we can handle getting to know the Tortie girls as we go on...
They've had such a rough time over the years, and I want them to know they have a furever home.
They HATED the kitten...he was just too cute and Binks and i fell immediately...made the girls a lil resentful. :-D
and the lil guy had almost perfect bobcat markings...even the sweet little tufted ears.

It was heavenly falling asleep to to purring, relaxed boys though. Binks and i have always had relaxed & loving fuzzy roomies.
Now we go thru a nightly bout of hisses, growls, and "I called the bean's lap" arguments when the girls stay in.

But I duz love 'em...they are 2 very unique and fascinating ladies!

Re: 9/14 Binks pmps 381

Celi, You can assume Binksy is a "long term FD", but it is still possible for him to go on a honeymoon to the Falls again...My first FD vet told me cats can go on honeymoons, but many need to go back on the juice..
Dont ever give up there Kiddo, be optimistic(I know you are)... Look how many lantus land kitties have gone OTJ! It says a lot about being here.. Big Hugs from us!!We lubs you a lot!! :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Re: 9/14 Binks pmps 381

Just checking in a little late on the Binkster tonight. I hope Binks will be OTJ again very soon. I'm sure it is like riding a bike -- you fall off but get right back on again.

Re: 9/14 Binks pmps 381

Binks is the flattest kitty in LL, glad to see you shot that 381!

Love the kitty pic, soooo cute. Did you end up getting rid of the kitten?

Re: 9/14 Binks pmps 381

Latae getting to your condo and looks like BInksy gave you a quiet day for napping. I think you two should get as much sleep and cuddles as you can cuz you know he's gonna decide to go low at some point.

I bet you will do awesome at the first low PS. And we'll all be here cheering you on.

Esp Lil G Money.

not my favorite color...

aw, thanks guys...for the encouragement! But really, we're okay with this.
I'm a "prepare for the worst, but hope for and try to achieve the best" mentality...
and the truth is...When he went to the Falls...we won the FD lottery.
I had hopes, but was prepared for it to not be a reality for him...so ANY time he spends off insulin
seems to me to be a gift from on high.
And to see him a healthy, happy kitty is surely one of the most precious things.
Mostly, the example set by the folks here, especially the goodnatured long term, loving caregiving, is inspiring.

we're familiar with the routine, and i'm not worried...
only change for us will be my returning to work in a couple of months...and we'll
work around that as well!

he hasnt felt tip-top lately...but he's such a trooper, and has greeted this return with furry, purry good nature...
(though i know he will NOT enjoy the dental)
THAT'S MY GUY!

and i'm taking the "get some rest" advice...
I know he's got some long nights in store for the future!
peaceful and healthy night to all...

Dorothy & his bean
