The big guy has all 5Ps in place this morning. Not too interested in his fuds this morning, wants the really good stuff like last night.
We have our crazy busy Wednesday set to kick off. One more out the door test, then I'm planning to come home briefly for a mid-cycle test.

Hope everyone has a great day in LL!

Thanks Gwen, Zener has had a lovely color this cycle, and two in a row without one of those "B" words!

It was difficult today for us seeing his numbers dropping in the morning but needing to get to school to teach class. I don't know how we managed but we did and we are so grateful that there are two of us! We have not had any success yet with getting him to self-feed when leaving food out for him. Although it was a nerve-wracking cycle, the numbers are gorgeous and Zener is feeling very good.

Appetite not so good this morning, but after I stuffed him last night with high carbs, who would be surprised?

Zener did a nice pee deposit outside of his litter box on a plastic mat and as I rushed to try to corral him to turn around in the box better, I realized it was a perfect urine testing opportunity! Negative for ketones and also for glucose, wow! :-D

Zener is having a quiet night so far, paws crossed he lets his beans get some sleep tonight. I-)

Zener has a nice little hideaway under a chair in Liz's office. We started calling it his "man cave". He loves getting in there to nap, preen and on special occasions we feed him there. After his +2 test, he has retreated to his man cave.

Re: 9/14/11 Zener PMPS 335;+2 329 A Trak

Love hearing about his man cave. Kitty has several. In fact, he has taken over the house, except for what he leaves for bean caves!

Hope you take advantage of this cycle to get some sleep.

Re: 9/14/11 Zener PMPS 335;+2 329 A Trak

Thanks for visiting! Zener will now want multiple man caves like Kitty! Kitty has a most impressive SS with so many greens, inspirational!

Re: 9/14/11 Zener PMPS 335;+2 329 A Trak

Kitty spent many, many nights in less attractive colors before finding his Inner Green.

I don't see any reason to tell Zener about how many man caves Kitty has - not if you want to sit down. We have a porch that is now arranged almost exclusively for him. The chairs are set up so that he can climb into whichever one is in the sun, without ever touching the floor. I, of course, have to sit inside!

Re: 9/14/11 Zener PMPS 335;+2 329 A Trak

Gosh, a porch all his own and multiple man caves - kitty heaven! I won't tell Zener, though he occasionally seems to read his condo! :-D inner green, I love it!

What a great cycle last night and great management of it!!! I saw he was coming down as I went to bed. WOW. And don't you feel so much more comfy with it and knowing what to do!!!

Nice that he came down into blue today, too.

Hope you are all well. Have a great night.

Thanks Marje! I have the night duty and it sure made it hard to get up this morning and go teach class. Well worth it to see those lovely numbers. I'm not sure I can say we feel much more comfy yet, but definitely we are not always in total panic mode when the numbers drop.

We were very surprised to have two mostly blue cycles in a row. We were expecting a bounce and were a little panicked when he dropped right when we both needed to get to school to teach our classes. Liz stayed here to the last possible minute just to be sure and dashed into her class without any preparation. Not our best day of teaching.

We are both tired but happy that Zener is feeling better. We are going to take advantage of what may be a bounce from the blue cycles and get to bed early for a little catch up sleep. Hope you are dodging the bad weather in Tucson. We had tornadoes around us this afternoon, but nothing touched down. Wild weather up here, feels like autumn too. Quilts on the bed! Zener loves it! Hope you all have a good night too. cat_pet_icon
