We did one last side-by-side with the Relion Confirm and the One Touch Ultra Mini, just so we had a better idea of this evening's starting point. The "official" PMPS in her subject line is from the Relion; her OT PMPS was 102. So, she appears a bit "greener" than what we're used to for the moment. Hopefully by tomorrow, we'll all be calibrated to the new meter!
I've attached a picture of my personal tribute to Trixie. I can't claim this as an original idea, because a while back someone posted it on Health. However, I thought it was very appropriate. I felt a need for an outward sign of m gratitude for all that she has taught me over the past several months, so yesterday I headed to the local tattoo parlor and had my ear pierced in her honor. (Obviously I have not been shy about piercing my left ear over the years, but this is the first time I've gone the tattoo parlor route...very interesting indeed :shock: :lol: !) Even more fitting, my ear is a little bruised :lol: ! We are now pokie sisters forever!!
ETA: Hubby says he is NOT getting his ear pierced :lol: !

The silver hoop is Trixie's. I actually did intend for it to land up higher on my ear, but when the "piercer" placed the dot before piercing it, I thought it looked like where I was thinking I wanted it to be. I didn't account for the fact that the hoop would make it look lower. No matter...it's really all about Trixie anyway.
