Ok, i'm starting to figure him out, he is 385 this morning which I knew was coming, his hunger was through the roof last night which looks to mean his BG is rising and less is getting into his cells, thus the pushing of 400 this morning.
He's now up to 18u with 1u of R

This stuff is amazing, my nephew couldn't believe Tigger takes more Lantus than he does and he's 110lbs.

Come on Tigger. You can do it. Think yellow!

You are becoming quite the expert on diabetes Brent. Amazing how much you have had to learn in 6 months huh? Unfortunately, you know more than most vets now. You are doing a great job and Tigger loves you for it, even if all he does is gripe at you.

Have a great day!

Not sure about the expert part, but getting the hang of it.

Actually i've learned all this in less than 3 months. Prior to FDMB i just did what the vets said for a year and a half!

The Acro and IAA is the hard part, just when you think you're on top of it, bam 400's
But I'm seeing signs that tell me he's gonna jump, like the hunger which tells me he isn't getting the nutrition in the cells which tells me his numbers are gonna jump.

it's good he's giving you signs and you're learning to read them! one of the things i've learned in all of this is how very different each cat manifests and responds to just about everything. kinda amazing. i guess that's why we have to learn our own cats and trust our guts in dealing with them.

Brent, I second Melissa's comment about knowing more than most vets. R is really what helped Gus break out of the super stratosphere numbers. Looks like your doing an awesome job. Keep up the good work.
