Yesterday was another typical day in rainbow kitty land. She told me that she most certainly did NOT want the dose increase I inflicted on her. :roll:

Today is shaping up to be another run at the rainbow. :-D Looks like we'll be getting the full spectrum today. Lots of kitty time in the solarium today, more sunshine and warmth. Gotta get it while it lasts here.

Today is a day I'm remembering anniversaries. I see that Gracie and Hershey are marking milestones. It's also five weeks for us since Neko completed SRT. On a more sombre note, I went with my friend to her dog's chemo appointment. The last drug did not work, and now it's onto the ones with a much smaller chance of success. Chemo so far has kept him alive an additional 7 months, and the drugs don't seem to have any ill side effects. People wonder at why she continues chemo, but this is her first dog, and this weekend marks a year since her parents were killed in a bizarre accident. Lots of tears and memories today. It's hard to make these kind of decisions, but QOL is still good, if somewhat less bouncy. The same feelings are shared by all of us on LL, we do what we can for our furred family.

Very nice numbers yesterday and Neko's trying to come back down.

I would say she'll know when it's time. No harm exploring possibiilities and other medications.
Good that you give her someone to lean on and listen.

looks like Neko and Rupert are on a bouncy trampoline game again! haven't had time to post Rupert's condo lately, but he's doing similar things! let's hope the two of them settle down soon!

@Rhiannon - Neko nadir's later when she is dropping out of a bounce, so I had a suspicion we'd see green again! My friend used to work at a shelter so she's a pretty good judge of time to let go, it's just the timing that's bad. I like the dog too and sometimes having a second person around can help hear things.

@Pip - we've missed you but Neko sure is enjoying the trampoline these days!

Nice to see green again today. That was nice of you to go with your friend for her dog's chemo appointment. Sometimes just having someone else there is a big help.

Drama queen hard at work again. We just came in from the backyard, me mowing, her watching. No sign she's low, just thought I'd test. Two days in a row of +9 nadir! Reducie earned!

@Carla - a little too much green today! Chemo seems to be harder on the people than the dogs. My friend's very supportive of the FD dance and has even bought strips for me, so fair trade.

Normally I wouldn't have done a +11, but she was mewing so loudly for food I thought she might have dropped again. And no surprise, we seem to have a bounce in progress, so I shot the old dose and will take the reduction in the morning. Hopefully that works, but who would have thought we'd start the day at 456 and get a reduction! A good lesson to all, mid day tests and some times later in the day tests can be important, even if you start very high!
