Yesterday's Condo

Morning All - Pitch black outside now & will be for a little longer. Sure do prefer the longer daylight days. Ugh and days are only going to get shorter & darker from now until December. Lanky (or bro Burski) peed 2x in different spots outside the LB but still in the laundry room. Thankful for small favors. Any ideas on breaking this bad habit? I'll put a new liner in the LB (have 3 going at the moment), freshen up the litter, scrub floor & walls well and then what?

Lanky ate well as usual and all else seems to be fine.

Morning Susan and Lanky! That's a nice sunshiny yellow to light up your dark morning... :razz:
Susan - inappropriate urination could be a sign of some problem that a vet would be able to discover...like an infection ...so my suggestion would be to call your vet and discuss this.

Raja started doing that suddenly and it turned out she had blood in her urine....they put her on ABs (clavamox) for 2 weeks and the inappropriate urination stopped. They say it can be behavioral too but to rule out any physical issues before going to Plan B.

While she was on the Clavamox, I picked up a bag of Cat Attract litter...contains some herbal stuff that attracts the kitty to the box again. once a habit becomes established, you have to change things around a bit to stop the behavior. There is an interesting booklet that is enclosed in the bag too. I sprinkled a little on the top of the LB and between the ABs and the Cat Attract, there is no longer a problem now.
You have two boys don't you? Well, the spraying can be territorial too....but a trip to the vet is the first stop...will you be able to call the vet first and see what they suggest? Hope you can resolve this...it can suddenly become such a big problem, right?

Hi Susan!

Sorry I don't have anything to say about inappropriate urination other than verify 1st to see if it's a medical issue.
When you get a chance, also, would you mind adding the word "dose" to your subject line to see whether Lanky's dose should be adjusted a hair. Tonight was his 6th cycle at 11U and I think he could use a touch more blue..... but it's always preferable to have multiple opinions... specially with Lanky's situation... what do you think?
