That's what im thinking, I first tried a fountain about a year ago but it was a very cheap one that poured downward and had a constant hum. He barely noticed it, but my other cat loved it. I ended up not keeping it because of the constant low frequency hum though.Good luck with the trail change in feeding! Everything is an experiment and it's helpful to try stuff out to see what works best - hope this helps Xander
I tried a fountain when Binx wasn't loving drinking once and it definitely helped. One with a stainless bowl and low sound I found is best.
I have the older model of this, and I really like it. It holds the charge well. It's quiet. Very easy to clean. And the filters aren't really expensive. That's what im thinking, I first tried a fountain about a year ago but it was a very cheap one that poured downward and had a constant hum. I saw a wireless one at Sam's that is motion activated with a stainless bowl I might try.
Good point, I'll change my notes to reflect that it's MC rather than HC. I wasn't sure what the cutoff of high carb would be, above 15%?The 12% food is actually medium carb, not high carb. If you find that after feeding a little MC he starts to flatten out at next test, great! Then I’d switch back to higher LC as I suggested previously blend a little MC with your usual LC to get a “higher” low carb, around 6-9% and see if that keeps him flat. You want to find the right balance of carbs while allowing the insulin to keep working for as long as possible until next dose. If you find he’s nadiring early, pull back in the carbs.
