Bell answered my dosing question this morning with a string of greens. I am relieved to see her come back down. If only she could stay down. It is also nice to see a blue PMPS instead of a yellow one. I'm hoping she can maintain these lows for at least a few more cycles. We shall see.

I think she is doing pretty darn well. She's pooping good. I have a lot of powder meds that I am giving through her food, but she's doing a good job with that. I do think the gabapentin is helping with back pain/hyperesthesia. It isn't night and day, but she seems less fixated on back there and isn't as cranky when I pet her. I was even able to cut out some tufts as she has trouble cleaning near the base of her tail (this did make her cranky). The gabapentin does still make her sleepy about 2 hours after I give it to her, but the sleepiness seems to go away in a few hours. I'm still working on the dose. Giving it via powder isn't ideal since there will be times where she doesn't finish her meal, and being super consistent about the dose is hard as is. I know they make pills for this, but she hates being pilled a lot, so I'm going to stick with this for a bit and see how it goes. Beyond that, she is pretty lazy, especially with the gabapentin, but she has super strong bursts of energy where she tears around the apartment. She's still jumping up on top of the fridge and cabinets. She has been grooming a bit more, I think, and it seems less of the pain-triggered grooming where she was pulling out hair, and more just normal cat grooming, which she is very bad at usually. She is still a purring love-bug. I think that covers her for a WCR. No signs at all of any weird nervous system stuff, I keep leaning more towards Solensia causing that episode.

She is plotting ways to get around the giant red pepper container. I try to block her path because I don't like her climbing across the cabinets. She's too clumsy and it is high up.

Glad she’s doing well and you’re managing the gaba ok. I’m sure it’s trial and error to figure out the right dose.

I give Ivy her supplements in her main meal but in her snacks at +1,2,3 there’s no supplements.
So I try to front load her meds when she’s hungriest.

Perhaps you could give a smaller bowl of food with the meds you need her to take when she’s hungriest and when she finishes that, give the rest of her meal.

Thanks so much Staci, that has actually been my strategy. Fresh can of food, smaller amount, medication.

Have you ever tried giving supplements in a creamy treat like Churu? Many other brands out there too.
Bell is oddly picky and not food-motivated. I did just grab a few different packets of Churus that I am going to see if she will eat, but I would bet she turns up her nose (silly Bell)

Ivy is the same, not food motivated, which makes it harder.
Ivy does like baby food though, so I keep that in the house if needed.
I knew you would be right on it with the supplements, Seth!! 💞
