Hi, I am working through these early days as I am learning how to help Baby. I am home during my lunch hour. I have to get back to work. I gave her some food right away then tested her 30 min later. No significant increase so I gave her 3 ML sugar water and retested 15 min later with a reading of 98. I retested 15 min later and she is at 111.
she gets her insulin at 6am and 6pm.
I have to get back work now. :((

She is looking great, and has been eating and drinking, using the litter box very well.
 
Next time give her hc food and leave some out because sugar can work fast and wear off fast. I hope there’s food left out. The hc dry you feed might not even been needed but I understand why you might want that until you gather more data. She’s looking good.
Please remember that we are from lots of different time zones so 6:00 means nothing but +6 does. Also looks like the nadir at the moment is around +6 so the low has likely been reached by now.
 
Thank you!! I totally panicked. I need to calm down for sure. I did leave food out. I am only feeding her wet food now and she loves it. I feed her 3 times a day. Should I leave food out? Or does that depend upon what her numbers are at? Thank you for the reminder or the time zone. I will be more aware and use the correct documentation.

Would you please remove the dry from your signature? I’m glad you made that decision. If low and you need to leave it’s a good idea to leave out some food. Since it was likely past nadir some of the regular food would be fine. Lots of people use an auto feeder to give snacks especially if the cat will eat all the food when put down. You can also freeze some and leave it out to thaw so she will get it a little later.
