Hi Everyone,
Back home this afternoon on an absolutely gorgeous Adirondack day. After yesterday, the paddlers in the race must be so happy to have this great weather (with almost no wind!). All they'll have to worry about is the difficult carry (the only really difficult one in the race). Stu had a good night last night and a good AMPS. Just before we left camp we took a +2.5 and it was 96, so I fed him a little 8 %. Then, after we got home I tested him again and it was a whopping 277 at +5.5!! Maybe it was the car trip, maybe the 8% food, maybe because he didn't drink enough water this morning. So we get to save a strip this afternoon. Stu had a great time luxuriating on the lawn in the SUNSHINE! And he's enjoying drinking from his fountain. Edward and I are heading out shortly to the finish of today's lap of the race to see our friends and bring them some food. (They were so exhausted yesterday that they couldn't even eat!!)

p.s. There is a guy who is doing this race paddling a surfboard, standing up!!!!! He must be incredibly strong!

Nice that Stu gave you that +5.5 Ella...now you can leave him for awhile and go have a nice day I hope! :razz:

Woot!! on the surfboard guy - WOW! It sounds like a glorious day there today. We just now have sun... Good luck today - have fun with the race. I hope your friend does well, though it sounds like finishing would be great in itself.

Nice Stu that you are giving your beans an afternoon off... Be good, and Mannie says "what's up dude?"

Stu just knows you are going out again and needs some private time to settle back in. Great on the weather. The surf board guy will at least have an easier time of portaging.

Stu, Stu! I need some help! They gonna make me got to the 30 to get less juice! I only ever been there once. How do you get there? -- Tess

Back again from the race. The paddlers are wiped out (we are, too). But tomorrow they have to continue and finish. All we have to do is get to the finish line (and we can walk there).

Enjoy your evening! Feet up, glass of something nice, maybe something fun on the telly, enjoy.... Looks like Stu may give you the night off?

Thanks for checking in with us, Ella. I'm glad Stu is doing well. That sounds like a strenous canoe trip. We saw a guy using one of those surf boards with a paddle on the river this year. I think he spent as much time in the water as he did on his board. :lol: I hope you have fun tomorrow.

Glad you had a good day--You havent been yourself and we know why, but Stu is doing stu-pendous, still doin his amazing dives :lol: :lol: --
