Hey Wendy, yes paws crossed! He has had some problems with his asthma. He’s had two coughing spells this week, both times ironically were when he dropped lower than what we’ve seen so far. His respirations were concerning me though because they seemed so fast even after the asthma attack. I’ve never seen that before. I was concerned about his heart because of the murmur and the elevated pro BNP he had back in June so I called the vet and took him in yesterday. The vet said his lungs sounded good and he did still hear the murmur but it wasn’t any louder than it had been before (grade 2/6). He did say his respirations were faster than he normally has even there at the vet’s office so they did chest x rays and said they looked fine so he thinks it’s his asthma. He started him back on the Flovent and I’m just praying it doesn’t affect his BG. Other than that he seems good. I loved seeing the high greens! The low one scared me a bit but thank God for Bhooma helping me through it. I didn’t panic. On a good note now, it’s happened and I got through it and learned from it. Thank you for asking!

@Pamela & Amethyst acrokitty Amethyst also has asthma and gets Flovent. I don't think it impacts her.
That is good to know. I was concerned because Max had such a strong reaction to the ear drops that had steroid in them. He went over 500 with those. Hopefully the Flovent isn’t going to do that. Glad to know that about Amethyst though.

Amethyst receives 2 puffs FLOVENT in the morning and 2 puffs FLOVENT at night There is NO INCREASE in her numbers from it:cat::):bighug::bighug::bighug:

Seems like here lately Max does love to drop later in the day. As much as I love this, I hope he will behave for me tonight. This boy has become so unpredictable lately. He just had his Flovent puff. He's been happy and peaceful today so far.:cat:

Bounce breaking cycles tend to have later nadirs. The good news is he's not moving much at this point.

Oh okay I didn’t realize that. I was wondering what was going on. I just hope I don’t have a repeat of the other night at 4:30 am. Also, he doesn’t want to eat out of his automatic feeder. So he hasn’t been eating the food I leave in it overnight. The same food he will eat out of his regular food dish. His face is kind of big around his nose and mouth and I don’t know if he has problems with his face hitting the sides or if he’s just afraid of the bowl. It’s a fairly good sized feeder for 2 meals.

It’s like a sectional plate type bowl. The bowls aren’t separate. I couldn’t find anything other than this type, but he hates it.
