I wonder if Leo had a dip into greens around + 3 yesterday ... it looks like he's in a bounce right now! Well, he also had 4 dose decreases in the last week, so maybe it's a shed thing. I wonder if he "earned" those dose decreases because he was on such a wild bouncing trip that he might not otherwise have earned, and his dose should really be higher. I know, we stay on this dose until he stabilizes. It is correct to say that he might be higher overall for a few days until his shed fills, if that's why he's bouncing now?

That was a lot of decreases at once. You definitely have to wait and see how it all plays out.
That was a lot of progress.

Well, no changing the dose for a while, but I agree - we'll be playing a waiting game! At least I think I can get some decent sleep, interrupted only by nadir testing :-)

I think it is highly possible that the Lows on the a.m. Cycle of 9/8 were totally shed. But with newly diagnosed cats, it's better to be safe because you can always go back up.

Let's see where he is when he clears the bounce again. I suspect he will need to go back to the 1.25u. Next time he clears, grab one of us and ask if you should take him back up, k?

I'm tending to agree with you. His shed was probably bursting at the seams! I don't want all the crazy roller coasters anymore, but I don't want him dressed in pinks and reds for days on end or until the requisite 6 days before a dose change. Poor guy! But he's probably VERY happy he's not getting tested every 20 minutes!

Hi Lisa, Sorry Leo is getting higher numbers but you are right, this is your chance to catch up on sleep before the next wild ride. No dosing advice from me of course. I have observed that those who make dose changes close together seem to end up going past what they later determine is their best dose, so I encourage you to wear the stylish patience pants :cool: and follow the advice of the gurus here about when to change Leo's dose. Hope Leo clears the bounce soon. It's not very fun having to wait to see if a dosecrease will work. Hang in there.

Hi Carla, Anne and Leslie - yes, I know, it's hard to wait and wonder if he's at the right place. He's not eating as much the past few days, and acting out with more aggressive play biting. Some piss and vinegar is fine, but he's frustrated in some way. I just returned home from 2 days away, so we'll see how he behaves tomorrow. Thanks for sending your wishes and admonitions for patience! :-D I won't be changing his dose without certified approval from the Gurus of the Juice!

Tomorrow I'm changing his feeding slightly to delay some of this breakfast to move some of it to +1 or +2 as was suggested earlier. If we can smooth out the curve, no matter where the curve is, that will be a good thing too.
