Re: 9/11 Harley AMPS 172

that looks like a fine choice of dosing. does it seem at times like we're all waiting on pins and needles for his honeymoon? patience is the key to success and you are certainly showing it. robin you have worked sooooo hard at regulating your little guy...

Thanks Lori, I have worked hard at this and I keep getting these glimmers of hope.

So what are you supposed to do now? Do I push him lower? Or do I just wait and see if he does it on his own? Is there a sticky I should read about when you get to this point? Or just be happy with regulation?

I've kind of backed off the last few days because we've been busy over at my moms working 11 hour days cleaning everything out. I'm exhausted, my son and I have agonized over every decision and have taken turns pushing each other to let go of things, so far we have filled up about 1/4th of a 90 yard dumpster and numerous pick up loads delivered to the Good Will. OMG, she was a depression era pack rat. We've just started on the basement so the dumpster will quickly fill up now.

been there done that robin, i think i told you... took forever and it was so hard to throw away things but they were useless and nobody needed them. remember when i told you regarding your mom? "she does'nt need them anymore"

as for harley, no i would'nt push him. i've been admiring your patience. he is definetly healing and hurrying the process may be more for you than him. i think you are doing everything RIGHT, right now!

robin, remember when we all focused hard on one cat at a time. i can't even remember who they were now but i know we would do that for difficult cats.
what do you think of checking and helping mars72 and making her kitty our project along with joanna. i know we are all tired out...this cat REALLY needs our attention..been hanging alot in the reds, for quite some time. today in the blacks YIKES

I have been keeping an eye on her.

You and Joanna have been MIA around here lately and you both have more experience than I do, at least with PZI, Prozinc is new and vets will be prescribing it more and more so our merry little band will be expanding more and more every day.

I have tried so hard to keep up with it by myself, but we ALL need to respond within a timely fashion.

(((((Robin))))) sounds like a tough week

I don't think you need to push him. He is doing awesome (0.6u, did I read that right????? I haven't been totally tuned in lately, so WOW, that is great progress!), and clearly going in the right direction. Keep him in the best #s you can without stressing over it, and if/when Mr. P is ready, he'll take over.

Remember too that sometimes if you see lower #s that make you nervous, it may be that Mr. P is pitching in to get the perfect #, rather than a potential hypo from too much insulin. Of course you can't know, so you have to treat it like a potential hypo & be vigilent, but I wouldn't stress yourself too much over the lower #s. Meaning, don't let those greens scare you into undershooting (ok, pot calling the kettle black here ohmygod_smile ).
