Morning... ~O)

Today is Day 314 OTJ.

Shadow is still cruising.. she really likes her new treats..... fresh is best turkey giblets
and wants me to put them on all her foods....
I finally found some Ziwi peak for her to try and a second try at Holistic.... both ridiculously expensive. And she has some Felidae
and Triumph on order. These were some that were lower in phosphorus....but harder to find.
I just hate feeding fancy feast and friskies all the time with the high phosphorus....don't want that to become an issue.
Now if I could just find some Wild Calling locally... Marje put the carb values on . Wild Calling Carbs

Shadow is still acting odd. But she is coming to lay with me in the middle of the night.... so there's improvement #1.
And she just came in the living room where I am and thought about sitting by me but then disappeared.
She has been avoiding this room.... and her mini tower.... for over a month now.... I don't understand why.


Anyway, wanted to share some pictures taken yesterday.

Good morning Rhiannon! Shadow is so purty! I was thinking the same thing that Liz was - she's awfully furry! Can't imagine trying to shoot in there. I have enough problems with Bob and he's way short-haired!

Congrats on day 314!!! Hoping her odd behavior is just a kitty phase!

Wow on the new treats. I wonder how they would go over here... and it I could even find them. I love the Shadow pics - what a pretty kitty. Odd how she is avoiding the one room. Maybe it's just a phase. Mannie would do that now and then too, completely avoid a place he had gone to for what seemed like forever, and then one day, back he came. so strange how they do what they do.

Good luck with the fuds. Sometimes it can be so hard to find good foods, that have what the kitty needs, and then to get them to even like it. I wish you luck.

Happy Day 314! Loved the new pics of Shadow. She looks especially pretty in pic #2. :-D But I have a soft spot for the long haired tuxedos.

Good to hear that Shadow is sleeping with you now. I wonder if she feels fall and the cooler weather in the air. Neko isn't much of a bed sleeper or lap sitter during warm weather so that is one of the things I look forward too as the seasons change.

The furkids here are getting freeze dried duck gizzards as occasional treats and go over well here too. If you haven't tried the hearts yet, both the duck and chicken hearts have a great fan following at our place, and they are a natural source of taurine.

She's exquisite. But I do love tuxie cats...

Now that I have a longhaired sugarcat, I think it's even easier to shoot. I grab the fur and pull it up, and this creates an instant shooting tent. I used the same method for Donovan even though his fur was shorter. I shoot the upper ribcage area as opposed to behind the neck.

Love the Shadow pics! Tuxedo kitties are very near and dear to me, as you know. Congrats on day 314! It doesn't seem possible. I am with MJ on shooting a long haired cat. Easy peasy, just pull up on the fur and make a tent. Have a great day Rhiannon!
 
She's such a beautiful puffball of fur! Very photogenic with white splashes in all the right places. Gratz on 314!!
 
Woo hoo on Day 314 OTJ! Shadow is such a beautiful cat. I love tuxedo cats too. Two cats I had in the past that were very dear to me were both tuxedo cats.

I agree that long haired cats are easy to shoot. I don't have problems with Furball's long hair.
 
Love those eyes!! Stu was a medium-hair tuxedo; I love tuxedo kitties, too. Thanks for the links to the treats and the Wild Callings food, Rhiannon. I'm going to check them out.

Shadow, it's OK to go into that room!!

Rusty has long, long hair. I pull it up and try to find skin, too.

hmmm..... I always think of Shadow as a medium haired.... and not photogenic....
Oh well.....
she's mostly like that grumpy cat seen all over the net.... really hard to get a photo that doesn't look grumpy...
I pull out the camera and I swear she frowns....
that's why I wanted to share pics today... I got a few that didn't look grumpy.
 
Hi Rhiannon, I'm happy to see you and Shadow are still celebrating OTJ :-D She has such a sweet face:) Chyna avoids a room sometimes too...I guess she likes to change it up, even if I pick her up and move her, she stays a few minutes and then goes back to her chosen room of the day or week or month :lol:
 
I know I do need to it's been so busy this summer, I keep forgetting when I do her BG :shock: . I guess I don't need a glucose level to post anymore :lol: will try do a condo tomorrow gotta get to bed now ;-)
