settling a bit frm yesterday think.. 😮‍💨💜..

some thoughts tho…

if BP has been affecting his numbers.. the Lantus.. this whole time.. now im really concerned. ☹️ a little nervous to increase the BP meds, then, without considering the insulin cuz what if that helps the insulin work like it usually did (because his pressures better/more normal).. and now hes a lot higher then he was, almost double…..?.. 🫤 meaning it would be too much?….

or should it be ok?.. like.. is the damage unfortunately going to continue having an effect, so shouldnt see it react too badly?.. might anyone know if there been any study/observations on this? (uncontrolled BP, diabetes)..

ive been dismayed this whole time too why hes had to go up so much.. number of things…. And seems his pressure being better has helped things maybe.. 🫶🏼 or idk.. cuz he did have good numbers a while prior to meds being started (23rd) but they didnt keep.. (admittedly had to skip/reduce a few times then.. but this didnt matter so much in the past..)

(i left a note w his primary, at the specialists suggestion also, on his BP med increase, and she just said to defer to the specialist, what they said…. sigh. was thinking to ask her about BP/insulin connection, ask on some other things too..)

In all my years here, I haven't seen BP be an influence on blood sugar values. I've seen lots of cats go on BP medication on FDMB. Not saying it's impossible, but why don't you ask the specialist?

A cat needs however much insulin they need. Neko was on quite a bit higher dose. The numbers you should worry about are the blood sugar values, not the dose size.

..thats good to hear. 😮‍💨🥲 i guess i could.. just idk what they’ll say or even know on it. but far as you know, there should be little worry then on upping the BP medicine? thing i was wondering too is if 2 weeks or so is enough time.. know w people sometimes can take 2-4 weeks to see what a dose will do.. but maybe that can depend on how high it is also, whether its just increased or not..

im hearing thats the case.. ✨ i just been confused about it.. sad cuz idk why thats been and wondering if a better BP has helped.. im hoping things be ok. 🥲….. (one form of his meds came today (3rd time trasndermal.. again did NOT send insulated/refrigerated.. had some product on cap/tip but seems ok, not melted.. its been rainy around here at least..) and the other comes tmw.. got supposed to be precisely measured doses, no more splitting..)
