Yesterday, AM medium bounce, quick drop to blue at night

Seems Papaya is running in a "highest bounce possible" contest here. I think she read in Tigger's condo yesterday that a bounce meant you might get the day off from getting your ears poked  So she gets to sleep in and have a quiet day, and I'll hope for a better PMPS.

Rats, and when I first saw the meter this morning I was looking from an angle and just saw the "56" first! That "1" does make a tiny bit of difference!

I hope everyone else is off to a much lower start today!

Re: 9/10 Papaya AMPS=you don't want to know. OK, it's 561.

Oh my goodness Papaya  That's pretty extreme just for a day off
You have made your point now come on back down...way down ;-)
Sorry Amy, hope she slides back down for you today.

Oh Amy, why do our cats do this to us? I hope she comes down quick for you!

Thanks Pam and Melissa! As much as I haaaate these bounces to black, I will try to look on the bright side that she never stays up there . . . she dives right back down to those numbers she's starting to like. Which (oops) probably means a bounce again . . . but it's better than never being in those good numbers . . . I think!

OK, Papaya....bring it on down - but no diving!

oh yeah, us vegans. Ha. I used to miss the melty mouth-feel of cheese on pizza but when I make pizza at home I just bake it as usual, minus cheese of course, and then drizzle some tahini on top afterwards as I eat it and I find it's just right.

It has been a long time since I've missed cheese, but I recently started using a vegan cheese that's pretty good. It's by Daiya. It melts and gets gooey, but doesn't it doesn't stretch like "real" cheese". I used to make cheese-less pizzas that, IMO were pretty good  ...but I do like the Daiya on pizzas, too. But, the place we're going to tonight is amazing...no need for ANY cheese - real or fake!

Have a great day, Amy!

Ok Papaya, you can stop showing off now. You look much better in blue, lil one.

Re: 9/10 Papaya AMPS=561 PMPS=303

Hi Amy, Tara and Carla, it looks like Papaya heeded your suggestions to get back down here! PMPS is looking better at 303, and I'm sure we'll see much lower as the evening goes on. I just about want to start feeding this number HC to ward off drop/bounce! Oh well I will stick with her usual 8 or 9% carbs for now and hope she comes down every so gently for a change!

Oh poor Papaya.....such a journey in a day. Same to you Amy....that can't be easy to see at 4:30 in the morning.....

but like you said....she climbs her way out of those ugly numbers very fast.......poor girl.

How is she this evening?

Still figuring out the living room boxes?

stay away from the BLACKS!!

Looks like Papaya is working on some rainbow sliding today.....

Hope she keeps heading downward....

Re: 9/10 Papaya AMPS=561 PMPS=303 +5.5=78

Hey Kelly! Quite a journey indeed! Rhiannon - we have officially gone right to the other end of the rainbow slide - that's right, after an AMPS of 561 I have a PM not-quite-nadir of 78. Craaaazy cat.

About an hour after her PM shot, Papaya looked at me, said something, and slid down off the couch. She then headed for the flight of stairs going down to the back door. That is really weird for her because she's not really interested in outside - if I take her out she protests all the way, although she enjoys sitting on the step when she gets there. But tonight she was determined to go out. I carried her down the stairs because I was afraid she would fall. I wondered if she was feeling sick or something and wanted some grass, or was going to try to hide someplace weird. No worries, though, she just sat on the step for a while quite contentedly and came back in without complaint about 15 minutes later, then used the litter and settled down. I guess there was just something in the autumn breeze that made her want to air out her whiskers a bit! Then I came home at around +5ish and found she had eaten the snack I left out for her and very cooperatively put herself to bed. Being able to climb up on my bed by herself has been a fairly recent development, so in all today despite the atrocious start I think she's feeling quite spunky!

I don't think I'm going to go to bed until I'm sure she's headed back up - who knows where this day-long-dive will end!

Re: 9/10 Papaya AMPS=561 PMPS=303 +5.5=78

No kidding on the free fall. This cat needs a parachute! Switching to higher-low-carb looked really promising at first but it doesn't seem to be slowing down the dives anymore. Well, maybe she'll be one that just bounces right off the juice eventually

Well, I didn't give her anything to eat at the +5.5's 78, and +7 is now 75. So while she's not going up, she's not going down either. I think this late in the cycle it's safe to call it a night. Really really really hoping to not see black in 5 hours!

Paws crossed for a colour instead of a lack of colour in the AM. Nice surf going on Papaya!
