Yesterday's (not too distant lol) condo: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=24517

I feel like a bad mama for going to bed 5 hours ago now. Woke up to a 39. Tested again just to be sure. In all reality, he probably surfed around this number an hour of so after I went to bed. Looking at his food dish this morning, he didn't eat anything during that time either.

Just fed LC + a tablespoon of MC and will test again in 30 min. Seems to be acting ok though.

Looking at our spreadsheet - he did this around 4/26 when we had a breakthrough on ProZinc. We then lowered the dose too quickly and lost momentum. I'd hate to see that happen again :YMSIGH:
 
After feeding the little bit of MC food he is at 88 at +12.5. The hubby should be getting up in about an hour, so I'll have him test again, and we will re-evaluate an insulin shot possibility (though probably not for a few hours once I am sure he can stay in those numbers on his own w/o MC)
 
Kelly....you've got your hands full w/monitoring 2 kitties who were diabetic....and you must be doing something right cuz they are doing so well. Gulp...39....bet that was a little scary.....good catch Kelly. Maybe Oscar is jealous of Yoda who is on OJT day 12,eh? Wants to join in the fun....

At this point, I wouldn't hesitate to give a BCS dose since with the 39 Oscar's earned a reduction. You need to get ahead of his shed.

I'm going to see if I can round-up some additional eyes on your condo.
 
Yes sorry.... I had my husband test so I could get a few more hours of sleep!

at +15 he was 101
at +16 he was 87 (MC food is starting to wear off I'm guessing but time to feed LC food again anyway)

Is it time for BCS dose? Or should I feed LC and test again in an hour since he is on his way back down?
 
I will be home for the majority of the day to test. Since it is the weekend, I can work with the shot times a little better. I will be gone tonight for a few hours though (would be the last few hours of his am cycle if I shot here soon)
 
I'd take the reduction (shoot 3.25u) and keep an eye on Oscar -- definitely get a +1 and maybe give him some MC/HC along with it to keep him surfing. If numbers get wonky, you can always raise the dose back up.
 
OK .... I'll wait until 11am so I can keep the hours even, and that will also make sure I can be home for his shot this evening on time.
 
+17 is down to 66 after eating a half can of LC .... not sure if I am comfortable shooting a number that is falling 20pts an hour even with food nailbite_smile
 
How about just skipping this shot then....and resume later tonight...
But, I would say to keep a close eye on him still, even without the shot....

Will do. If he starts to zoom though, I'll probably go ahead and give the 3.25u before our regular 6pm shoot time.
 
Zoom? did you say "ZOOM" Kelly? ohmygod_smile the only zooming your boy has done lately is zooming to the ocean floor! :lol:

A little RISE in the opposite direction would be a refreshing change for him. Just when you think he is rising though, he drops again...what a wobbler he is! :mrgreen:

Oh I meant last time we skipped a shot - the 98 to 271 spike in 2 hours lol.... sorry should have been more specific there. A 20 point increase is far from a zoom isn't it!

Well, I would still watch him tonight...will you be home?
Tomorrow's shot will be 12 hours from when you shot this afternoon...

Yes, 9 hours late. I will be home until +3.5 and back home around +9. I'll have to set my alarm to check him at 3am tonight to see if he can get a shot.

So far he is holding steady in the 80's ..... I need to get some leg warmers and a scrunchy for him lol
 
+3 is 67 but he hasn't eaten in an hour and a half ... getting him to eat more now. Will be back around +9 tonight ... might even have cell signal where I am going and can check here! lol
 
He is 131 at +9.5 tonight - tiny zoom - so I must have caught the upswing at the right time it looks like. I'll see about giving him his next shot at more like +12.5 so we can try to get our way back on schedule throughout this weekend. Of course, this all depends on the curve ball he decides to throw me this time :lol:
