Max was meowing really loud but he does that. I got up to test finally 5 minutes early and sure jolted me! I hope he comes up quickly because he needs his BP medication which I chase with Gerbers rather than water. I'm not surprised he dropped under 50 because he's had a long run in normal numbers, just surprised it happened at amps. I guess I might have needed another test last night. Now that I think if it I left a little food out at the last test last night which he didn't eat then and I gave no idea when he ate it. :banghead::eek::woot:

Yikes Max! I don't like those morning "surprises" and hope he comes up soon. Not surprised either as even his preshots were pretty low the last few days. Up now Max please.
 
Yes, the morning preshots have been low but not the night ones. I wonder how low he got last night? He won't tell me.

Well 25 minutes later and 49. He's really hungry.

Yikes Max! Hoping he comes up for you to,some comfortable numbers soon..not a great way to start the day! You should have added Anti Jinx when you were helping me yesterday..seem Max might have overheard you telling me he did that! :(:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Yes. I mention Ned to Les yesterday or the day before how when Max gives me Los of days of good numbers he tgen heeds a reduction. While itonly the first time I've caught I'm thinking of taking a drop or two off since this happened at preshot. What do you think?
 
I'll take off the bubble adjustment when I can shoot. He's really yelling at his food spot. I'll test again in a couple minutes. Thanks Karen.
 
I see 3 below 50 on the same dose on different days. I think you could try a reduction. Good luck with it, if that's what you decide to do.
 
Thanks Dyana. I'm going to take it as he's still at 47 a half hour past shot time. Now I'm wondering if I should skip this morning.:banghead::eek:
 
If you can get off schedule the other option is to feed him and shoot late. He might stay there or drop without food at this point.
 
That's what I was thinking. New one for Max. I'm going to feed and then figure it out. Thanks.

I think you can shoot whenever you feel comfortable shooting...remembering, of course, that his numbers are food influenced. But you have so much experience that you'll be fine. And, naturally you can skip all together, too, if you'd feel more comfortable with that...and I'm sure Max will be fine with a skip.
 
@Amy&TrixieCat Thanks Amy. I just read the sticky again on shooting low. I should have stopped at just the Gerbers but he didn't eat too much Wellness. I'll see what his numbers tell me. I'm going to reset the calipers now.
 
What a way to wake up. I hope Max keeps coming up for you. I think you can shoot as soon as you see his numbers rising, even though you fed some. I would have fed him too.
 
So I'm going to shoot in a few minutes. I took the reduction. I did have this happen once in May. Funny how we forget when we get jolted awake.:p That time I skipped. I may wish I did when I'm up at 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning later.
 
No bounce yet. His onset is usually at +2.5 or so. The bounce will come tonight or tomorrow I suspect.
 
Wow, that's quite the surprise on a Saturday morning. :eek: ...nice work shooting low - and it looks like he is doing well with the low pre-shot.

He sure seemed determined to get that reduction.

Well looks like he might bounce. I hope so in a way. I'd like to shoot 30 minutes early. Otherwise I could be up til the wee hours. If he's higher when I get home from mom's I'm going to feed him a little Gerbers with his gelcap.

My mom is really feeling rotten. Slept the whole time I've been here. No appetite. :( She's awake now so I'll visit a little. I'd stay later but I don't want the BP Med to be too late.

Hope Max decides to be a good boy tonight and surfs safely....I'll tell China to have the water wings ready just in case!!
