Good Morning LL ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (LOTS! L just love ~O) ), and Happy TUNA Tuesday!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! GUESS WHAT! Today is TUNA TUESDAY!!! In honor of Tuna Tuesday, once again Lola and Bug want to make their famous triple tuna pies, with tuna and nip infused crust, tuna toppings, and now triple tuna infused cheese. YUMMMMMMMM! It's tradition!, and these pizza pies totally rock! The tuna cheese been perfected, and even with the added tuna and nip, I have to admit that they are pretty good! so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot espresso, beans from the heart of central Ethiopia. and for my mocha fans: Venti Quad orange and vanilla mocha, laced with orange swirls, topped with chocolate whip, garnished with orange zest, slivered vanilla beans and chocolate swirls....SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of orange and vanilla and chocolate swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with crystallized oranges and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! TJ's dunking cookies and Cronuts are along for the ride!

I hope everyone had a great Monday. Mine was great - another hike, back to the North Cascades! What a wonderful place to go hiking. and! we had good weather too. I'm not too sure of the temp on that mountain, but down below we were in the 70's, sunny and warm. WOW: What a summer we are having... Mannie? is that your doing? All this sunshine? Well, your bean thanks you. I thought of you today while on the trail. Rays of sun, and Mannie sunbeams, were breaking through everywhere. It was just so nice! What a great way to remember you. And the hike wasn't too shabby either. Sahale Arm: a little piece of heaven... here is what I wrote in last night's post: "Hi everyone! I hope your day has been a good one. Incredible would be mine. :-D I did go hiking today, it has been a long day on the road (3 hours each way), but the allure of those mountains in the North Cascades won out again. I threw weather predictions out the window, caution into the wind and went for a hike that has been on the to do/repeat list for about 4 years now. I headed up the Cascade Pass, and then Sahale Arm from there, I did this one about 4 years ago, but due to time restraints (Mannie needed his insulin! Priorities!! :-D ) I didn't get far at all onto the Arm, not even a tenth of a mile, and vowed I would have to get back. Today I did. It sure does feel good to make a goal. successfully. Sahale tops out at 7200 feet, I did up to about 6900, just shy of the glacier. I sat there for a while just taking in it all, the glaciers, the mountains, vistas, all of it. You get caught up in something like that, it just consumes you. I felt so alive up there, just absorbing all that lay before me. What a feeling.... all told I did about 11.5 miles, climbed close to 3000 feet. I could use a tall frosty cold brew, and a cheeseburger, a bacon cheeseburger... LOL. This bean is tired! an hungry!!  " Never did get that bacon cheeseburger, or that tall frosty cold one...  Picassa links: On the road to Sahale...., and Cascade Pass, Sahale Arm. There are two videos in the Sahale Arm album. While on my way up to the pass, you pass the most incredible section of mountain walls, decked out with packed snow and ice. I could hear sections of the snow and ice on the side of the mountains break away, cascade on down the slopes. It is an incredible sound. I tried for one video... rather badly. In the center there is a section that looks like a moving water flow: that is the break away ice and snow... Very cool to watch something like that up close.

and..... :o :o I am in DEEP TROUBLE!              I was late getting home yesterday.... very LATE!         Like two hours late! :o  :o  :o  :o  The welcoming committee was not pleased... the blood oath I signed, stating I would never ever be late, was waiting on the landing for me, along with three very grumbly kitties. They made sure I knew that their tummy alrams had gone off two hours before....   So... I had to wait on them and and foot, cater to their every whim, and serve only primo fuds. Remind me not to do that again.... Lola forgave me soon enough and was back to being Lola: flipping and flopping and rolling on and down the Stairs, repeat a dozen time over. silly cat! Big and Elsa went to bed instead. ;-) Lola was also back to shower visiting: atop the shower door, watching.... silly cat! how does she balance on that thing? oh LOL: A whack-a-thon is on progress as I type: Lola and Bug: on the hind legs, standing, whacking each other.         YUPP! NORMALCY IN MUSKTEERVILLE!   you gotta love it...

Have a great day everyone. not too much going on here today. I am off to Seattle later to visit my Seattle friend,. YaHOO!

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN!! cat_pet_icon

Hi Michelle. Your hike sounded so awesome. It's great that you felt Mannie's presents with you on the trail. I'm sure he was right there enjoying the hike with you.

It's sounds like the new kitties are really don't cut you any slack  .

Have a great day Michelle.

Re: 9/10 LOOSE LIPS: Sahala Arm: a little bit of heaven....

Morning John ~O) ~O) ~O) Many thanks - the hike was just incredible. All those sunbeams just so reminded me of Mannie, how much he liked being out in it, especially when the sun was shining. I swear it sued to follow him wherever he went. ;-) and that is an AFFIRMATIVE on the new kitties!   THX on today.

Re: 9/10 LOOSE LIPS: Sahala Arm: a little bit of heaven....

Beautiful pics. What a great day it sounds like you had. Uhoh on being late though. That is not a good thing, but the pics say it was totally worth it. Have a great day Michelle!!

Re: 9/10 LOOSE LIPS: Sahala Arm: a little bit of heaven....

Wow! Well worth waiting 4 years to get back! How cool on Mannie and the sunbeams, of course he was there!

:o :o Oooooooo! The blood oath was brought out? You were in big trouble! At least Lola doesn't hold a grudge. Have fun in Seattle.

Re: 9/10 LOOSE LIPS: Sahala Arm: a little bit of heaven....

Sounds like a lot of heaven to me. Scenery in WA is just fantastic, yes, rains but that keeps everything so green and beautiful.

Please, try and keep your sense about you and get those kitties fed on time. LOL

Re: 9/10 LOOSE LIPS: Sahala Arm: a little bit of heaven....

What a beautiful hike! Amazing how just that little bit of rain we had brings out all those fungi. It's neat how they just pop up in the middle of nowhere.

I too thank Mannie for all this sunshine - it's truly been a gift this year.

On the "not so" welcoming committee - DH doesn't feed? Or are your crew like mine, totally ignores DH but pesters the living daylights out of me when I come home until I serve the fuds.

Re: 9/10 LOOSE LIPS: Sahala Arm: a little bit of heaven....

Those pictures are so beautiful. The wind sounded crazy in the one video from the top.

It sounds like you're lucky the kitties let you off for being late this time. You better be careful next time.

I hope you had a good day in Seattle with your friend.

Re: 9/10 LOOSE LIPS: Sahala Arm: a little bit of heaven....

Hi everybody! I hope you have had a good afternoon. For someone who didn't have much on the plate today I sure didn't sit down much, it at all. I think now is the first I have been in a chair. lol, maybe that's good. it's been a productive day. got the little guys space/room put together, as much as it will be. It is amazing what one can do with a few things you have around the house, and few cool posters. Well we shall see if he thinks it's cool. At least it now looks more like his room and not a hodge-podge storage area. It was nice to head into town too, had a decent time in Seattle with my friend, talking bout this that and everything. I came home to a sunny afternoon too, and 75! it was 58 and foggy when I left the house. Tomorrow they say we will be 89. 89???? wow on that. I might melt. ;-) Have a great evening all!

Hi Melissa - THX on the pics - the area is GORGEOUS! I so agree on the bring late, and they knew it. Sure did voice their opinion too!  however: it was worth it! a GREAT hike!

Hi Ann - i thought so too, worth the wait. I could not help but think of Mannie with all those sunbeams about. They were the kind he liked. YUPP! The BLOOD OATH!!! I was in deeeeeeeep Trouble....  THX on Seattle - it was great.

Hi Barbara - THX - it was alot of heaven - an absolutely beautiful place. I wish I could go more often. oh HAHA on getting the kitties fed on time... Ok, will do! ;-)

Hey Maui - Did I bring enough tuna juice? YUOO! The bean blew dinner last night, What is up with them? and yours said to get it yourself? oh oh.... oooooooooooooooo - we could have fun with that, think of the mess..... :-D ~~ Elsa, lil BIT PIT

Hi Wendy - THX on the hike - it really id such an outstanding one. so so true on the fungi! In the forested area they were everywhere! kinda cool. I so agree on the sunshine, a Mannie gift... we have never ever had a summer like this. I love it, and thank you Mannie. - No DH doesn't feed.he is often home late, the timing just isn't there. I have them on what was Mannie's feed schedule, breffis and dinner, and he's just not here then, or sleeping. Too funny on your krew ignoring DH. That happens some here too.

Hi Carla - THX on the photos. I love that place: incredible scenery that is not too hard to get too either. oh yes on the wind! it was really blowing topside. not all the time, but when it did it was windy!! I so agree on the bring late.... THX onS eattle, it was fun.
