Yay, a green morning for lucky number 13! Breakfast was enjoyed by all this morning. Kiki, the smallest kitty in size and weight, won for most enthusiasm and most eaten for the second straight day. She must not come down and eat much or at all during the night. We had some bird visitors on the deck that we're garnishing some attention as I left.

Happy Friday, everyone!

Thanks!! I can't believe it's Day 14-eve!

PMBG 27! I know he ate breakfast and he had a little bit of food when Brian got home three hours ago, but I'm concerned he's not eating much during the day when nobody is home. We're planning to leave town at 8ish tomorrow morning and will be back early Sunday afternoon. Someone will be coming over to put new food out at 8 pm Sat and 8am Sun. I'm nervous he's not going to eat much. I think it's been said that they can't go hypo on their own. True, right? I'm always a nervous nilly leaving them overnight.

I think Johnny's party will be on Sunday. Kelly and Yoda graciously said they don't mind sharing...it will just be an even bigger party! Since we'll be out of town Sat and with probably only late evening internet access if at all, we thought it would be more fun to come home to a party on Sunday.

wow. Johnny surprises us again! Did you retest that? I don't think he can hypo when he hasn't had insulin in 13 days, so no worries there, it's just a surprise.

And after all this work, I guess you deserve to have the party when you can actually attend. ;-)

The causes of hypoglycemia are usually related to too much diabetic medication,

the inability to eat for whatever reason or a sudden increase in activity/exercise without increased calories.

A person may also have a hypoglycemic episode due to a tumor within the pancreas or liver that causes a sudden release of insulin.

Maybe it's just one last surprise in the hopes his twists and turns are well-remembered? The shed releasing one drop a la the grand finale at a fireworks display? We didn't retest, but he's since eaten a grand ole meal, so I think we'll get one final +4 at 11:59. :D Unless a sooner test would help in any way.

I really wish we didn't have to go away this weekend of all weekends! We have fun plans to go to the ND/Michigan game, but it looks like chilly rain in the forecast and that just makes things a little less fun. We're pretty spoiled with Brian's parents being in South Bend and having season tickets...so, I'd like to just skip it and go to a different game. The pet sitter (our friend) is honored that she'll be doing the final day 14 test. She watched them in July, so she knows the testing drill.

71 @ 11:59 on Day 13. I have tears in my eyes, as I just read back through many of my earlier posts and realized how far we've come...with YOUR help. I'll do a more involved post on party day (yay!), but I want to just thank anyone who is still reading tonight. We had so many long nights of low numbers and I know Johnny would have endured some late-night ER visits without the support we received here. The confidence of learning that we were in control of low numbers was so priceless. More later...THANK YOU!!

JANICE!!!

WHOOOHOOO!! JOHNNY!!
Looking forward to the party - I am so proud of you guys!
