Re: 9/10 Do Lou amps 228

Hi Lisa, I hope Do Lou shows you some blues today. I have the Cowboy Cookout for Mags and can't remember why I stopped using it. Some of the Merrick, even though lc, spike Maggie's bg. Have a nice day and good luck with new flavors for Do Lou. They do make it a challenge for us with their pickiness.

Re: 9/10 Do Lou amps 228

Even the two adopticats have made their preferences known.... they also prefer special kitty turkey and giblet just like Maverick did. If they discontinue this I'm in trouble.

special kitty is walmart brand yes?? maybe I should go there later today HMMMMM confused_cat also I am thinking about trying scoopable litter again for him sigh its been a while since we tried it he is notorious for stepping in the pee blob of scoopable and then tracking it I am off to get a big LB for him today kinda like what Dr Lisa Pierson has on her site she likes Dr Elseys litter so I may just go with that :?: :YMSIGH: http://catinfo.org/?link=litterbox#Types_of_Litter_Boxes,_Size,_Number_and_Location

Re: 9/10 Do Lou amps 228

Yep walmart brand. It didn't affect Maverick's BG like the fancy feast ones. For some reason the two of them eat it consistently. They leave the food they don't like in the bowl. I try and feed fish flavours only as a treat. I don't want them holding out for this alone. They love the cod sole and shrimp also. Even though both of them are non diabetics - because Hefner was labeled diabetic I've stuck with the low carb foods as if he was. So Victoria gets this also. She is a kibble convert so I'm really glad she is eating wet food consistently enough to keep her weight up.

Ok thanks Karrie I was thinking it was Walmart so will make a Walmart run today or tomorrow and get some special kitty flavors to try

Re: 9/10 Do Lou amps 228

That's a low yellow this morning, Do Lou. What's up with that, huh little guy? Come on down into the blues. There's plenty of room for you. :)

Have a great day, guys, and good luck with the fuds. I know it's not easy feeding a picky cat.

Re: 9/10 Do Lou amps 228

I just looked at Lisa's sight. Since DL is blind would he have a problem with the opening?

I saw a really awesome extra large litter box at petsmart I was going to get for the three here. They are using one litterbox. I know I should have three with the three cats. But they seem to be fine. But with the three of them - I don't want to have to clean it more than once a day so if I get a bigger one it will seem cleaner to them. But the Petsmart one isn't covered. I'm going to give this some thought. The 30gallon rubbermaid I don't think has a big enough foot print.

Re: 9/10 Do Lou amps 228

Actually I'm reading the rest of the article and will not be going with covered    I would not be willing to stick my head in and take a big whiff HAHAHAHA. I like her way of thinking and making her points.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news    but some unknown reason, Walmart just discontinued Special Kitty....I was literally there last week, shelves stocked and by this week- shelves cleared! I read on a few other posts the same. People are wondering if it's an all out discontinue or if there was a problem...in any event, no more Special Kitty for the time being.

Re: 9/10 Do Lou amps 228

I'm going to call walmart canada and see if this is the case up here. But I'm going to drive to the various walmarts around here and buy them out just in case. And you know as soon as I do this, they will decide they don't like T&G too darnit. Thanks for the kick in the behind. Lisa, I wouldn't try this just in case DL does like it and it is discontinued. That would bite.

Re: 9/10 Do Lou amps 228

Good morning Lisa ~O)

Hope Do Lou decides to surf lower today for you.

Ollie gave up on Cowboy Cookout a few weeks ago...but found a new love of Surf N Turf. His favorite and the one I feed the most of is ProPlan Chicken. He would eat Surf n Turf every meal if he knew it was in the cabinet!

Maybe Walmart is changing the design of package....a lot of people used Special Kitty...I was going to have Ollie try some too!

Have a great day!

yeah I saw that big LB at Petsmart a while back too Karrie so maybe should go with that and yeah I was also thinking about his blindness as well was talking to DH last night that I wanted a bigger LB for him but one he would not have problems with due to the blindness and bummer on reading that about the special kitty I have not heard of any recalls so wonder whats going on with that confused_cat confused_cat

Re: 9/10 Do Lou amps 228

Morning, guys! Hope DL starts showing you some blues and greens soon! I'm off to petsmart today as well. I'm liking the Breeze LB for Willie and am picking up another one to put in the basement. eventually hope to get him to use the box exclusively down there and in the garage and get the box out of the kitchen.

As for the Special Kitty, I posted this in Health yesterday. Don't panic just yet!! nailbite_smile nailbite_smile

Re: 9/10 Do Lou amps 228

Morning DL & Lisa--Moonie is a Staunch fan of FF & has always been--Tried all the other better foods, Nope her mind is made up!--She has a hard time with the height f the openings of the litterboxes..
Now I have one small one w/o a top, and a big one w/top, & she uses both..
Hope yoou find all you need for sweet DL! Have a happy Caturday! I am also off to get cat food    Hugs & lub from us!!

Re: 9/10 Do Lou amps 228

Lisa.....i had no idea Do Lou was blind??? What a little trooper he is.

I wish we could try cowboy cookout for Leo, but for the life of me i can't find it anywhere in the city where i live. I've got a very picky boy as well, if i feed him the same food too often he usually ends up going on a hunger strike from it.

Thanks for stopping by our condo and sending us healing vines!

Have a great day.

Hey Lisa: Glad he came down for a little bit to blue. I was checking out his SS and it does look like this last switch back to lantus was a good one for him. Hope he gives you more blue tonight!

Hi Marjorie well I often wonder if I stay on Lev long enough even kinda doubt myself this past time but overall he seems to respond to lantus pretty well ( we think) doubting Bean here

Did not get to pet smart today ended up taking a long walk with DH so going to shop there tomorrow for new LB and litter and food flavors

I want to give Gracie plenty of time on it and let her really settle in....so we'll see.

    Ok...I have to fess up. Mike folds his own clothes because I am not that neat of a folder I'll rent him out for clothes folding but he isn't cheap. That kind of quality folding is $$$$$$$     You mean all KY boys don't fold like that?

Hi Lisa,
I got Rusty a PetMate Jumbo Hi-Back litterbox (no cover: it doesn't need one). It is lower in the front, therefore easy to get into. I use The World's Best Cat Litter (scoopable) and never have a problem with odor or "cement-like" blobs. Phoebe told me that Rusty needed a huge literbox because he peed down the sides. (But he doesn't and I think it must have been one of her other cats!). His other litterbox (upstairs lb) is a normal size with one of those collars around the edges. He is perfectly happy with it, too.

I hope you can solve Do Lou's food dilemma.

Have a good rest of the weekend,

Ella & Rusty
