I know by now the rest of the country world is probably sick to death of hearing all about Hurricane Issac & its aftermath. Aftermath for the South anyway, I heard on the news this morning it was going to hammer the U.S. Midwest today. I hope all of you feeling the lingering effects of this terrible storm are safe & dry.

Here is a quick update from us: Tink pmps 110; Tawny pmps 115; that's today. I got called into work today (thank you all the powers that be for letting me still have my job, the office is devastated & and there is chaos & contractors & damage everywhere). Even in the midst of all that my boss was horrified at the pix of my flooded place (on top of all the water damage my slab is cracked all the way thru) & is going to help me handle my claim for me (he is a personal injury atty w/lots of experience in dealing w/insurance companies after all). I am off tomorrow & will try to get some pix posted here then. Goes w/out saying I am really exhausted, physically, emotionally, mentally.

My arm is much better today but still really sore. The swelling & the redness have gone down considerably altho it is still really really sore and I can't lift much yet.

Really really good news tho (besides the great #s from Tink & Tawny tonite!) - my little missing feral, Veranda, has come home. ALL ARE ACCOUNTED FOR!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to the power of this board, another saved kitty.

Thanks to all of you for the continued support. I'm actually a really good person, I dunno why I seem to have such bad Karma. Nope, no pity parties allowed!

Thank you all of you.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, Desi. I hope that you will be able to get things sorted out quickly, and get your life back on track. I wish for you to make a full and speedy recovery, too.

Great post about your feral! Also, great news about your babies' #s, too. This is terrific news! :YMHUG: I'm glad that you're all safe, and together.

Hi Desi,

I am so sorry to hear about your place. Devastating. However, I am so happy to hear that all of your furbabies are accounted for, safe, and sound. Blessings to you and your babies and healing vines to you and your home!

Thank you for the update, Desi. Hugs to you and all of your critters. I am so glad that Veranda is ok! :-D :-D :-D Paws crossed for getting your claim settled quickly and fairly. Sending healing vines for your arm to continue to heal.

Great news on your feral!! That is a huge relief. Healing vines for your arm and prayers that the cleanup happens smoothly and swiftly. Thinking of you!

Desi,
I'm glad you found Veranda safe and sound, and that your arm is getting better (sending quick healing vines for your arm), and that you still have a job with such a good boss (and you have a great DBF, too). You're a strong person, and only a strong person could get through the trials you've had. You're also a person with a huge heart, and your FDMB family loves you, and you deserve tons of good karma (like a good boss and special DBF). I hope your life settles down little by little. You and your critters are in my thoughts and prayers. Let me know about those two Goldens you saw

Thanks for the news about the Hurricane. It has become more personal for me (for a person living up in safe New Jersey), knowing that you and your furfamily (and Sushi and Ashley) were down there.

I hope the waters keep receding, your house and barn and vehicles dry out well, and your insurance company fixes everything damaged.

Sending lots of vines and prayers your way. So glad Veranda is okay. So glad you have someone to help with your claim. Keep giving us updates as you can.

I am so glad that Veranda is safe! I am sorry that you have to go through all of this flood aftermath again. I am relieved that you have some help from your boss. I am sending continued recovery vines for your arm, and I am keeping you and your kitties in my thoughts.

Hi Desi! Glad things seem to be settling down a bit there, but I'm really sorry that your house is suffering some damage. Glad Veranda is home safe and sound.
Cat scratch fever.....not something to play with for sure. I got scratched by one of my cats a long time ago and ended up going to the dr. He said to me "do you know what cat scratch fever is" and the only thing I could say was "A song by Ted Nugent". Imagine my surprise when I found out that it was something real. Also...rat bite fever...my cousin almost died from that one....didn't get bit by the rat, but got scratched by something the rat pee'd on....Just never now these days.
Anyway, sorry for rambling. Glad you are ok....glad your fur babies are ok....and hope that things can get back to a semi-normal stage very soon.

Hi Desi,
You are our heroine for getting through that awful storm with strength and stamina, with your spirits intact, and with your fur family safe and all now accounted for. I hope that your arm will continue to improve quickly and that things will get back to normal very soon. It's great that your boss will help with filing the claims for damage to your house and that you still have a job, despite the damage to your office. Please thank your DBF for his incredible help during the hurricane. All of us here in LL are so thankful that he was there to help you out. He is indeed a treasure.

Lots of love and hugs to you, Tink, Tawny, Veranda, and all the fur kids and the horses,

Ella & Rusty
