Blue surfin' - or so it seems. :-D I wonder if he dipped into the greens last night? No tellin'.. I had intended to up Mannie's dose this morning. Though with a 131 for amps and a lingering doubt whether he went green last night or not - probably doubtful, I decided to stall til pmps for the increase, and see what he does with this morning's cycle. We have a 131 at amps, with a +1 of 137 - looking promising. :lol: :lol: Maybe he read his condo last night and decided - uh oh: better get with the program. :lol:

Mannie is great this morning - a mean blue purring machine - off the charts purrs. He seems content, a continuation of last night. It was cool, rainy all day yesterday, so I broke down a built a fire for the evening. I had forgotten how much he enjoys a fire. He spent some time curled up in front of the flames and the heat snoozin' and purrin'. Nice nice night for Mannie. Breffis #1, and #2 consumed this morning: still a member of the clean plate club. Waiting on #3 while he watches the last of the rains through his window perch. Life is good, normal, in Mannie-land.

rains rains go away --- they say sun by this afternoon, maybe even 70. OOOOOO!: a heat wave! Hope so - I am off to see friends for coffee this afternoon in DT Seattle. YAY! :-D Tomorrow is for sure (!!!) a hiking indoor knitting day (anti -jinx!!) for sure - off to the North Cascades and Maple Pass - a "to die for" high elevation mountain hike (woot! 7000 feet - 360 degree views, and I am SO STOKED!) - but that's tomorrow and this rotten weather had better clear (anti-jinx again)..

Hey Mannie, We both got a 78!!! But I had to really drop to get there this fast. Yes, I would like you to pick me up later to go to Ginger's. I need distraction (and so do my beans!)

Michelle, tomorrow's hike sounds fantastic. I hope the weather cooperates. You must be in great shape to handle those elevations. I have difficulties with mountains: great going up, but have to go slow and be really careful of my knees going down (I ruined them on my first ever backpacking trip, in 1974, when I bounded down the steep trail with full pack and could hardly walk out the next day!!)

Hi Ella - This hike is my favorite - I did it 2 years ago, loved ever moment of it. It starts at 4500 feet, but one tops at the top at close to 7000. They call this one the crown jewel of the N. Cascades, as you can literally see everything - a 360 view of all the mountains in the N cascades range. And with good weather - omg: fantastic stuff! The best next to the Enchantments in central washington. Oh - and I hear you on the being careful on the descends. I have to too (had a couple of falls - on the descends) - I hike with poles now, much greater stability, much less stress on the knees and the legs. Good shape? i dunno - maybe, at least I know I can hike a 15/20 mile hike, and survive... dead dog tired and worn out, but I survive.

LOL, it's all in the mind's eye. Yesterday I would have been a wreck seeing a 61. Now it would look so good.

I get out of breath reading about your hike. I love driving to the top of a nearby hill, where I can look out over the town. :lol:

Hi Ann: Well ya know if he had been yellow, or... he would have gotten his dosecrease, no doubt. I just thought well, with a 131 lets just stall a little: he has such a tendency to drop when he starts in the lower blues. sure enough, today he did. phew! and glad I didn't up him, as I do have someplace to be for a few hours later today.... :?

79 @ +5.25. fed a small tsp, 18% HC, and will test again @ +6. I do think we are on the rise...

91 @ +7. I fed a small tsp of 10% MC, since i will be gone until just before pmps, hopefully will make Mannie's +11, so I can get a feel for what went on while I was gone. Be safe Mannie, and SURF THOSE GREENS!!

wow - a 99 at pmps. nice, and really didn't expect that. :mrgreen: I did feed Mannie 7% FF at shoot time. I hope to keep him in this range - control the drop that always comes when he's low at pmps. HAHA: best laid plans and all that - watch him do otherwise. :roll:

I had such an enjoyable time this afternoon, seeing friends, having coffee together. The afternoon has turned sunny, moderate at 65 (sorry for all you guys roasting in the 90's). Tomorrow's weather looks really good (65 at mountain top/pass and all sun), so I am currently trying to control my excitement over my plans for hikin uhhhh outdoor excurs uhhhh indoor knitting.... Maple Pass here I come! (now all I need is a cooperative furbaby)

Wish I had beautiful mountains to walk in!! I'm wanting to hike again, DH & I used to hike in the Catskills and in VT.
Now we are Old & decrepit-and walk on the beach & boardwalk!! IT'S REALLY VERY PRETTY--but it aint the mountains!
We are hoping the Horricane will skirt our shores--we pprobably will get some wicked wind & rain, but thats it--

ahhhh - hiking the Catskills and Vermont. how nice! I wonder if I will ever make it to the east coast again - you have such nice places there. I visited Vermont once when I was in college - exceptional! enjoy your hik indoor knitting to the mall tomorrow. too funny on the old and decrepit :lol:, and i bet you are not! go hike anyways ! One of the hikes I did about a month ago I ran into and elderly couple (like 80+) that were on this rather steep trail. Hand in hand, hiking poles in tow, up the mountain they went, little baby steps, but they were determined - wanted to see that lake. it was really kinda cool to see them. And you are right - your beaches and boardwalks are very pretty - i hope to see them for real some day. .

yes!! Blue yarn for indoor knitting!!! I had one of those ear whispers - asked him to give me nice middle of the road blue surf, one i know he can maintain while I am gone...

but i swear -- my hikin indoor knitting may still be thwarted yet -- there is an ongoing shooting/whatever/accident/feeling suspect going on right now that has the whole freeway system northbound (which of course is the road i NEED tomorrow at o-dark-thirty AM) shut down. no moving traffic til who knows when. police say not anytime soon :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: and OMG! Please be open by tomorrow morning.... nailbite_smile

99 @ +3. back to the greens :mrgreen: .... I fed him a tsp of 7% - i hope it's enough to keep him on this surf. maybe.

YES!, and so am I - elated and happy. and to think that I was one test shy of upping the dose. Sometimes we need to listen to those inner voices that said wait....

and now to figure out how to set up tomorrow so that I can be gone for 9 hours... might be a MC day all around til I'm back. ???

87 @ +4. fed 1 tsp MC - hoping to keep him at this level, hoping he'll surf here, hoping I wake up to a blue pmps that i can control with food through the morning so I won't worry while i'm out in the wild on some mountain top. Mannie - we can do it, yes?

117 at +5 - no doubt the result of the 10% carbs... maybe I over did it? not too sure. oh well - will see where he is in the morning. i hope he surfs blue, gives me a traveling number tomorrow morning. all in all - a GREAT DAY today for my guy.
