Yesterday was a Pretty Good Day

Was going to shoot, but kind of hesitant about it. Last time we shot the 130-something he did fine, but that's not necessarily what he's going to do today. I got three hours of sleep - exhausted. Not sure I'll be with-it enough to test like I should. Mom might help... ~O) @-)

Re: 9/09 Rufus AMPS 155 - a little wishy-washy about it.

I can't give any advice here....Just lots of support. Nice AMPS this morning.

3 hours of sleep is not much......hope you can catch up on some zzzz's today or tonight.

Re: 9/09 Rufus AMPS 155 - a little wishy-washy about it.

Thanks guys. Mom is staying home with me today - that will be a big help. I should be able to catch a couple hours on the couch and she'll watch for any signs of hypo. "You know I can't do this every time, right?" lol. I think we may be headed toward a reduction, though. So, I'll be crossing my fingers and watching out for a little of this: dancing_cat

I'm not sure how much you delayed this morning. You might want to put a note on your SS. Remember, your PM shot time is 12-hours from when you shot this morning. You can shift back by 15 min. without a problem.

Re: 9/09 Rufus AMPS 155 - a little wishy-washy about it.

It's good - I fed/shot at 7:08, so not even ten minutes late... although, by the sound of his yowling, you'd have thought I was HOURS past our regular time.

Just to consolidate posts - our +1.5 is 180. Methinks his numbers will be pretty low today - but no mudslide-type action. I don't know, maybe that's just me hoping. We'll see once we get to onset.

Re: 9/09 Rufus AMPS 155, +1.5 180

Nice shooting...great AMPS Rufus!! I have gotten used to power napping...an hour at a time. I can do the BG test and then get back into a nice sleep. It takes practice though...and I guess I have had my share of that! Hope you see some nice numbers today...

+3.75: 197
+ 9.2: 200

:) I think Rufus was very steady today... but I wouldn't know, because I've been Suffolk the whole afternoon. I'd tell you more about his day otherwise.

"John" (or Finn) is ours ( ), we just have to wait until he's neutered to pick him up. They were very kind at Suffolk Animal Control - the tech (I assume she was a tech, because she was the only one in scrubs) started out pretty neutral, but once she figured out we were cat people she started bubbling up about her cats. We were given a bag with a dish, a collar, some toys, etc. for our new kitty and sent on our way. It took less than fifteen minutes.

For some unbelievable reason John-Finn has been in foster care since July. He arrived (with his littermate, Landon) covered in fleas and struggling with an upper respiratory infection, but is adoptable now (... or was ;-) ). He's absolutely stunning with his flea problem under control. I LOVE his heterochromia - I can't believe that it was what kept other people from adopting him, but I can't think of anything else that would distract them from his beauty.

Now... we collect everything he'll need for his "safe room" until he can be integrated with the rest of the furry folk around here.

... Rufus agreed to share this post with his new soon-to-be housemate - you know, just to show off his happy, shiny intentions. (Rufus: cat(2)_steam )
