Cant believe it! My boy has been doing well for past 8 days without insulin. And this morning his amps was 148. I didn't shoot. Tested 3 hrs later and it went up to 166. So sad! What has happened? If his pmps is higher than 130 do I shoot? Or do I let him be off insulin for another cycle to see if it will come down by himself? :arghh:

Well, you know, those numbers are not extraordinarily high like 200+. I would be happy with those numbers. Maybe wait awhile and see what happens. He could be trying to find his BG sweet zone.

Well, cos u know to go into remission he has to be within 50-120 for 2 weeks. He has been doing so well so far. Do u think I should shoot if he's above 130 at pmps or I just let him be for another cycle?

Sucks when that happens. I did shoot a tiny amount at the beginning of our otj trial a couple of times as I wanted to support her pancreas and keep nudging them but it really was a teeny tiny amount if you look on my SS. :bighug::bighug:

He didn't get into something he shouldn't have? Or change of food?
I don't see your numbers for the last 8 days? Oh I see them now! Lol not awake yet lol

I can't see your SS. It's all blank.
My SS is up to date. Last 8 days I mostly took at amps and pmps. U can't see? That's weird.
I gave him the yellow can of burp since yesterday morning I think. But yesterday his bg was ok. Just to be safe I gave him FF today. Hoping it would go down at +3 but it didn't.
I guess if at pmps he's above 130, I'll give a 0.1 or 0.2. Teeny weeny drop. Then I have to start the trial all over again! Sigh!

I see. Just for 2 cycles and she went into remission after that! That gives me hope. Is she still in remission? Did your girl go high that day cos of change in food or visit to vet?
Now I'm wondering if this yellow can is the cause. But having a hard time recalling if I gave him after yesterday's amps or pmps!
The specialist gave us 2 weeks to get him into remission before we do dental and further scans. If he's still high today and I have to give insulin, then we have to reschedule.

She was on insulin for a few weeks before sliding into remission. I just screenshotted the remission bit. She was so sensitive to insulin and first shot hypoed pretty much which I think kicked her pancreas into action. I also think it was caught really early and combined with the help I got here the folks on here got me there extra fast, not sure my nerves could have taken much more lol

Nope I think the yellow was just one of those things, her pancreas spluttered maybe.

Wow u are so lucky!
The pancreas sure is playing games with me today! Hopefully my boy will follow tempest's pattern. Just need a nudge to go back on track! Fingers and paws crossed!

Give it another day or two to come down on its own. Something as simple as a hairball or stress from seeing a stray or barking dog can be enough to raise the bg.

He kept asking for food last night. I'm wondering if that's the cause. So I shall just monitor for today? But if he goes to yellow, u don't thk he needs intervention?

If he goes yellow I would give a bit. But the highest right now was 166 right? Don't panic yet.

I did not test anymore after that cos I left for work. Not sure if it's higher now. Will only know at pmps.

That 166 might have been a little food influenced still. He had good numbers the day before, so it's probably temporary.

My cat had been running higher than normal the last week from her dental. In waiting for her numbers to settle too. She through me a 198 earlier this week that got me really worried
But thankfully it's come down a bit since then. I'll have to check her in the morning. .

Was about to ask you how CC is doing. They sure take their own time to stabilise. Hope she goes down back to healthy level soon.

She seems to be feeling good. Thanks for asking. She got into contraband yesterday when my partner dropped kibble intended for outside cats that she started helping clean up before I noticed. :/ so I figured thAt test wasnt worth doing. Lol

Let's cross that bridge when you get to it. I bet the number won't be that high.
I hope so. Just getting myself prepared in case no one is around to answer me. Am I the only person in this forum on another time zone? Lol.

Why aren't u sleeping? It's 4:49pm here. And it's a scorching hot day. And humid.
A cat yelled outside... My partner sprung up to look out the window and check on them.... This woke me up... Then we started chatting. Them I had to pee and take something for a headache that I had since before bed.... Then she fell asleep and I'm still freaking awake. Plus I'm also hot and like to sleep in air conditioning and she hates using the air conditioner. So now I'm in the cooler basement watching The Office on Netflix. Lol

I'm in Ireland so in another time zone too. :)

He's looking very nice, Waheeda! :woot: Don't forget about meter variance, it could've been closer to 133 with a little food influence ;). Additionally, we do have a member in Japan and there was one in China but I think they're both on Lantus so you probably haven't come across them . That's all I've come across for East Asian members though. Some Aussie's and UK'ers, and a few Europeans in the mix too :)

It's 4.09 pm here - I'm stuck in work though
I see. So I'm 7 hrs ahead

Hes 138 this morning. I hope he will settle down later. I heard him chasing an insect in the living room around 2am, something he hasn't done for a long while! That could have spiked up his bg I hope. We are on 2nd week of ojt trial and such numbers are making me nervous.

That's about the same as he was yesterday amps so I'd wait and see. :bighug:
