Gave him MC 11% at +2 (143) because I was planning to leave and felt more comfortable leaving him with my husband with a little MC to slow the drop. Ended up sticking around for his +3.
Gave him MC 11% at +3 (101) when he dropped another 42 points and I had to leave for an hour.
Gave him MC 14% at +7 (56) when he recreated yesterday's shenanigans and I was advised then to give MC to pull him up.
Gave him MC 14% at 7.5 (65) when he only went up 9 points.

A. How did I do?
B. what do I do for carbs now?

He's pretty far along in his cycle. I think you can stick to the idea of feeding MC in the 50s and LC in the 60s and above to keep him surfing. Hopefully he won't bounce as high as he did last night.

You still have the depot from the 2.75 unit in play here, so it's good to try to keep him from dipping below 50. Good job with the MC today, hope he keeps going up a little on his own.

Ah, forgot about the larger depot.
He's kind of going up, but not really. Up 4 points since exactly an hour ago. 69. And we are damn close to +9 at this point.
Maybe give him a higher LC, like 8-9%? Thoughts?

69 is a really good number. It is the sweet spot of the normal number range and you want to keep him there as long as he won’t drop. Maybe you’ll have the opportunity to shoot low to stay low at PMPS. :)

I have to go to bed but maybe @tiffmaxee can keep an eye on you and help Templeton surf some more. You’ve done a great job today.

Yes, I have to keep reminding my husband that it's a good number too ;)
What you said about the depot in play from the larger dose (which hadn't occurred to me) alarmed me a bit because of potentially not getting very high for shot time. And then also in play for PM cycle but I guess we shall see what he does.
Thanks!

Btw, that dip to almost green at +1 was an indication that he needed higher carbs then itself. For future reference.

Yes, every situation is different, just taking notes. I completely forgot about the depot effecting things today, but that may not be a consideration next time.
Ok, what about PS 191 to 78 at +2? I was told MC yesterday AM, but if you're saying a 100 point drop (today) warrants possibly HC, then am I missing part of the picture?
Are you saying today requires more carbs to "pull up" than perhaps yesterday or an average day because of the 2.75 depot? Or is there more to it?

I would have gone with HC yesterday at +2. That was quite a drop at +2 and to mid-greens.
Just remember that a lot of this is trial and error and a many things affect his response to food - when in the cycle, how much of a drop, the depot, how flat the cat is etc. And you can't always get it right. Their job is to outwit you and then do their best to!

This is +2.5 or +3? Fed anything?

+3 No food yet. He's snoozing. I await your decision.
Will he eat later in the cycle if needed? I am tempted to go with LC.

ETA: You fed him 15% at +2, right? That's on the border of MC-HC so we may not need to worry about him dipping too much after those carbs have worn off.

Oh yes, he will eat every hour, hour 30 or so. He's still underweight. I'm surprised he's sleeping actually and doesn't want food. Got worried for a sec.
Yes, the gravy from a 15% can of FF gravy lovers turkey.
