Good Morning, Everyone,

Getting a late start today because of chores that piled up. Rusty had a good night, good test, shot, breakfast, good nap in his basket, and an altercation with the Shadow (Rusty actually took some swipes at him; he really doesn't like him!). We had a weigh-in: 16 lbs., 15.5 oz. (gained 2 ounces over the last month or so, but he tends to fluctuate, so I'm not worried).

Today I added a drop (0.11 mm on the calipers) to Rusty's dose to tweak it a bit in an attempt to replicate what I was calling skinny 1.5 on the Monoject syringes. The switch to Terumos from Monojects was difficult to gauge because the MJs were often so inaccurate because of the hub. So I am still calling Rusty's dose a skinny 1.5U (for those interested, this is 2.12 mm on the calipers, up from 2.01). We'll see what happens.

bbl, Wishing everyone a good day.

Ella & Rusty

Re: 8/8 Rusty AMPS 184

Hi guys .. boo on the chores that piled up! Glad that rusty had a good morning, other then the altercation with shadow .. hopefully with the extra drop of juice we'll see rusty back down in lower numbers .. have a great day guys!

Re: 8/8 Rusty AMPS 184

Good luck with the dose increase !
Rosy's having a 1.25u starting today, that equals to 2.54mm on the caliper. Guess everybody will need a caliper for measurement on LL

Re: 8/8 Rusty AMPS 184

That Shadow, he is is annoying. I hope Rusty is back at the lagoon today. We started using the calipers too. I think I am getting a more consistent dose but maybe I am delusional. It is less stressful to measure at least. Happy Wednesday!

Hi again,
This turned out to be another busy day. Rusty enjoyed garden time and has brought his bgs down nicely. Now if he will refrain from bouncing.

Exciting event today: the rowing machine I ordered on Sunday arrived. It is an excellent piece of equipment (http://www.Concept2.com for those interested in learning about these machines). Edward and I are going to get into shape and stay in shape from now on. If we want to, we can even compete with rowers all over the world. :o Who knew that indoor rowing was a competitive sport!

Everyone have a good evening. Off to visit condos.

DH and I have been practicing the Luge.....me on my couch and he on his recliner. I think we are ready for heavy competition now. We are both very good at it. LMHO!!!!! (Is that how you spell "Luge"?)
So, you and Edward can have the fame of the rowing....we will stick with the Luge event!

Nice PMPS Rusty! :thumbup

Re: 8/8 Rusty AMPS 184, +5 118, +9 111, PMPS 84

I was so glad to see that PMPS number. When I first saw that AMPS I thought there must be a second new cat called Rusty on the board. Good luck with the extra drop in the new syringes. It seems to be working.

My winter workout is to do 5K as hard as I can on the Concept 2. DH does it twice! It's a great workout but can be boring if you don't have a TV or some music to listen to. I think the Concept 2 also has a game mode? I haven't used that part but it might help. It is nice when you start to notice your cardio getting better.

Hi Ella - good luck with the dosing - I hope this one is a good one for Rusty. Numbers look great today!

An indoor rowing machine? WOW - awesome! you will have to let us know how you like it.

Sorry for all the chores - I hope you were able to get out some too.

Hi again,
Rusty is headed in the wrong direction, but it is early yet for Lev. Still, I would like him to get back to flatter cycles again. That trip to camp and then the change of syringes really messed him up. So we keep plugging away. Tomorrow we'll be out on a paddle all day, so Rusty will have lots of time to get himself back on track.

Everyone have a good evening. Thanks for visiting us.
Hey Pat, our boat maker in Lake Placid also makes luge sleds for the US Olympic luge team. Would you like me to order a couple for you and your DH?
Wendy: a fast 5K sounds like a great workout. When I get skilled on the machine I'll have to try one, although I never liked 5Ks when I was a competitive racewalker: too fast and when going all out I used to get a "speed allergy" (sneezed continuously for 2 days after a race!).

Ni ni all,
Ella & Rusty

You two are fantastic!! I was happy to walk around the nature preserve & you are rowing everywhere!!
Hopr Rusty comes down for you tonite or tomorrow..
Have a beautiful night!! Hugs & love from us!
