Good Monday, Everyone,

Yup, it was a fur shot last night for sure, but this morning's shot was good (I think). Rusty wanted us up in the worst way this morning. He'd been watching for the mouse all night and was hungry. Our friend said she slept well (I'm sure she was being nice: Rusty and Edward both walking by her futon numerous times!!)

We're off to the paddle as soon as the rest of the group gets here. Rusty is on his own and has his automat. Back by +10 or so. But will not post until after PMPS, since we'll have a little get-together here after the paddle.

Everyone have a good day. Sending good thoughts to Sara, Rocket, and all other kitties not feeling well. See you all this evening. Thanks for visiting Rusty's condo. Tomorrow we go home.

Re: 8/8 Rusty AMPS 183, PMPS 127

Hi again,
Rusty had a good day and came down nicely. Shot tonight was good, too (I think). He ate all of the food in his automat. He enjoyed a brief time outdoors in the early evening.
We had a great, challenging paddle on the Kunjamuck River to a small, very wild lake, and back (8.5 miles in all). The weather was iffy, but we didn't have any real rain, just sprinkles occasionally. We had to get over 10 beaver dams, some of them very large, so since it was an out-and-back trip we did 20 beaver dams. And, I actually saw a BEAVER!! He was working on a dam, and when he saw us coming he climbed over it and slid into the water, slapping the water with his tail. He was huge (about the size of a large dog and fat). We were 6 paddlers (perfect size group for this type of trip). It was a very enjoyable day. We also saw 2 great blue herons and several turtles.

We go home tomorrow and fingers and paws crossed that Rusty doesn't get carsick. I think he really enjoyed his week at camp, especially since he was kept occupied with the mouse. I hope he doesn't catch it. I like these white-footed mice. They have big ears and look kind of like little Mickey Mouses.

Off to visit a few condos. I hope everyone is having a good day. Thanks for visiting Rusty.

hi guys! YAY! Better numbers for Rusty. I too hoe he doesn't catch the mouse.... and and that he makes the trip tomorrow without getting car sick - paws crossed big time on that one!

your paddle sounds so nice, even with the sprinkles! 10 beaver dams? wow - that is so fun that you actually saw a beaver. I keep hoping I will when I hike and pass by some creeks etc that have beaver dams. I love the heron too - we have alot of them by the shore here. Fun to spend time and watch them.

have a nice evening - I hope your friend enjoyed her visit.

Sounds like a really nice time with the paddle and friends get together. Nice Rusty is playing cat and mouse. I just bought a PetMate auto feeder and an anxious to try it. Good for no fur shot tonight. I'm still working on my aims. Have a good night.

Pooey on the fur shot yesterday.....it happens :? to all of us. Even tho, Rusty had a fabulous day!

Cool on the beaver and the paddle today. I went fishing last night at work and while we were out on the boat in the water we saw a beaver literally leap into the water, it looked like a big belly flop and of course he had to do some major tail smacking too, it was the biggest beaver all of us had seen, had a head like a big dog.

Please let Leo know if Rusty would like more help on catching that mouse, i'm sure he would be more than willing to come over and help!!!

I hope Rusty makes it home tomorrow without barfing........think non-barf thoughts Rusty!!
