Yesterday was a fairly mellow day for Mannie with a mid yellow surf - for the most part. I was a tiny bit surprised to see the 395 this morning ??, but it is what it is, and we shall see what they day brings. I hope to go hiking tomorrow, so hey Mannie - if there's going to be action, could it be today, maybe?, and not tomorrow??? We shall see , hopefully tomorrow will pan out.

And another high pink start.... 395 :YMSIGH: ohmygod_smile :YMSIGH:

Poor Mannie - alot of hackin' and wheezin' this morning - and where is that hairball??? So far - a no show. He was so affectionate this morning, in between all that hackin' - such loud purrs: before, during and after testing, and breffis #1. It is a cool, dreary, drizzly morning here today and he seems content just to sniff through the open window by his perch. Perimeter may have to be secured from afar today. He's decided preliminary inspection required a nap, and so he is. Off to a good start today, despite the 395.

Have a great day everyone! After Mannie's +2, I am off for my morning walk - the norm: woods, shore, return via the coffee shop for "the good stuff".

Hi Michelle, Enjoy your walk. Weather here today is cool (50 degrees), a little weak sun, very still: probably a storm coming. I think I'll go and bike the hilly road this morning to get ready for my ride to the Mets game on Thursday (if we can get down to the city). Let's hope our boys come down from their pink starts soon!

Hi Guys!

I went to get Mannie for his +2 - found him on his back, by the window, all fours extended, with that shaved belly exposed looking for a breeze or too. He got a few minutes of belly rubs instead- I just couldn't resist...

Enjoy your ride this morning Ella. my hat goes off to you - I need to get a bike, a better one. I have my son's - who left it here (silly boy!) when he moved out years ago... it's OLD. In the meantime the drizzle continues here, guess I will go walk anyways - that's why they made rain gear and umbrellas, right?

Hi Lisa! You could be right... I alwasy have to wait in the morning - makes sure it's "safe" to be gone for as long as these hikes alwasy seem to take...

330 at +2, and coming down already. Go Mannie!, but slow and steady, OK?

I think once that hairball comes out you'll be seeing some action so don't forget to whisper all potential plans.
Enjoy your walk in the drizzle, it can be nice and quiet that way. Peaceful, as long as it stays a drizzle and not a downpour

It used to be that Stu and me...well, we used to race for the
lowest numbers. but when it is the Pink floor, the highest one wins!

Oh Mannie - come on down out of the pinks! Emma started in the pinks today too, but she's down into the blues..come on down and join her!

Enjoy your walk -looks like we have a pretty nice day going on here so far...not too hot - only in the mid-70s. Just the way I like it! Maybe I'll go for a walk too!

Walk was nice - thanks everybody! Drizzle, with an occasional downpour, but it was nice. Shore was deserted, so the critters came out to play. Spent some time watching a group of heron fish the receding tides, and catch a flounder or two. Osprey were out fishing too. Fun stuff!

And came home to a blue kitty - a 182. Phew and back to the blues. I guess the pinks this AM were a little bounce (??). I hope he can just surf this a while, maybe a slow descend to green later today.

And :-D I will have those little whisper talks in his ear that I would like to hike tomorrow, so get all the action stuff in today, and a mellow surf kind of day tomorrow. We shall see if he listens.

Sounds like a gorgeous walk in spite of the rain. I bet it's really neat to be able to see all that wildlife, and on your way to a coffee shop, no less. :-D I hope you're able to take your hike tomorrow (Mannie, are you listening? Let your bean do something for herself since she does so much for you :smile: ). It's been a nice weekend here, weather-wise, but we are under an excessive heat warning starting tomorrow through Thursday, with predicted heat indices of 110. :sad: Guess I better get out today while it's only 88.

I'm here in yellow; it's my favorite (and almost only) place to hang out lately. I think my bean's gonna get me some cubes like Raja and Gabby have; I'm really excited. I like places to crawl into and nap. You can come over and use the other one any time you want, and you can even bring your slobbery toys with you. I don't like many toys so I won't bother them. I'm glad you made it to blue today; it's your color.

Nice blue! That almost makes that terrible amps worth it. :lol: I hope Mannie gets his excitement out of the way today so you can have fun tomorrow.

Hey Buzz! You are SO lucky - you get cubes! I keep beggin' my bean, and I keep checking the mail, and all the delivery guys, but nada - zilch. no cubes for Mannie. Hi Lisa - yep I feel spoiled - it is nice to be so close. We are about 1.5 miles from the sound, and one has to go through the woods to get to the shore - a nice elevation drop of 500 feet at the last 1/4 miles - but oh so worth it.

Michelle, if you decide to stick w/ the Maxi/Guard I've seen it online a couple of places for half of what the vet charges. How is Mannie putting up with it?

Hi Ann - I haven't tried it yet - been staring at that bottle, and thinking OK - how are we to proceed... You just spray it "in there"? The vet was talking about using a q-tip that's been dipped in the stuff and getting "in there" that way. oh this should be fun! get the crow bar, find steel plated gloves, open mouth, work terribly fast, run! nailbite_smile well - guess i had better get with the program, huh!

:lol: :lol: He tends to respond very well to those whispers, especially when it's "dosecrease" -- but just wait until I get back tomorrow, OK? i suspect that his selective hearing will come into play, at least he will let you believe that is the case - he hears everything and pretends to know nothing.... :lol: :lol:

Hey Michelle, Mannie won't let you rest until he gets his cubes, so I guess you know what you have to do!! Enjoy your hike tomorrow. All will be fine with Mannie. He'll be over here, cooking for Stu, and checking out the cubes. Mannie looks great this evening. Stu, on the other hand, went up to pink again, way after PMPS. Always something! Have a good night and thanks for your concern for Stu.

Hi Ella! :lol: I guess I had better get the boy some cubes... :roll: He is very excited to be cooking for Stu, especially when he heard Stu has cubes he can check out... we might have to remind him he is supposed to be cooking!

And yes - always something, isn't it.

164 @ +4 - yay - we have slowed some.
