I stayed with the 4.25u yesterday a.m., and I totally konked out between +2 and +9.5. According to my notes and the meter I tested Eleanor at +7, but I have no memory at all of that, which is a creepy feeling.
I *think* she had trace ketones at p.m. +11. None of the colors on the ketone strip bottle are the same as what is on the ketone strip, but I think the color last night might have been slightly different than the color I have decided is negative ketones ( this from strip testing the same samples sent to the lab which always come back negative). Maybe it was just my eyes not seeing well though.
I increased her p.m. insulin to 4.5u and a couple hours later gave her subq fluids. She tested negative for ketones later in the cycle.
What do I do now? Test for ketones every chance I get for a few days?
I was going to say Eleanor seems fine today but I hear a noisy pooh in the bathroom. Better get the SEB into the old girl!
