Still struggling with all of the meds and sick kittens here. Poor little Flora now runs when she sees me, she hates Metronidazole that much. Iris takes her Zenequin in pill pockets about 30% of the time... and, if not, she's just about impossible to pill. Mandarin is done with the Bupe, but he is still on Clindamycin for a few more days. As of today, he will eat the capsule if I wrap it in a pill pocket, hide the pill pocket in fishy canned food and sprinkle a bit of Forti Flora on top. The real challenge is keeping everyone else out of his bowl - Forti Flora is pretty popular around here.

But what truly makes this depressing is that no one is even getting better. Mandarin's numbers are high enough that I gave him another dosecrease this morning. I am just glad that Walter is doing wonderfully! His latest bounce broke already and he is back in the lagoon.

The bean already took advantage of the slightly cooler temps. I walked the dogs, mowed the lawn and watered my flowers. Now I am about to let a friend's dog out.

Wow. You have so much going on! :bighug: You are doing a great job!

I am happy you were able to get out and enjoy the cooler temps!

I dislike that Flora is even on Metro. My personal opinion is that it's over used and does more harm than good (sorry) :bighug::bighug: Glad that Walter continues to do well and hopefully Mandarin just needs a little more time. Sending lots of vines and prayers to all your critters.

Sorry Flora is running from you. I hate it when that happens. I hope the dosecrease helps Mandarin. I'm glad Walter is doing well. Sending prayers as you juggle everything. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I couldn't agree more! It's right up there with Depo and Convenia as one of my least favorite meds. But, sadly, it is also among our shelter vet's most frequently used medications (probably because it's cheap). I just gave her one more dose and I will be on the phone as soon as the clinic opens to discuss other options.

For the most part, I really enjoy fostering, but I hate the fact that we are expected/forced to abide by whatever the shelter vet wants to do... even when it goes against my best judgement. :banghead:
