Hi Everyone,
Casey had an…exciting…morning, actually more like hair-raising. I woke out of a dead sleep to the sound of a major cat fight coming from downstairs in the front of the house. As I race down the stairs, I realized that the cat that has been getting the cats in the neighborhood in a tizzy most be on the ledge of my open front room window. I must have scared it off because I heard a lot of commotion while I was running down the stairs and by the time I got there, the cat was gone and Casey was sitting on the floor breathing heavily. This was not Casey’s first run-in w/this cat, but in this instant she had to have jumped up onto a cushioned chest I have in front of the window in order to have had this…screen separated…fight. (It was a big enough fight that Casey mostly marked or peed on the chest cushion.)
The astonishing part is that Casey had not been able to jump that high lately, which is why I had been putting Gabby’s (my non-DC) food, Gabby will only eat kibble; but she got up there this morning!! I don’t know if it was the other cat or possible kibble crumbs that got her to want to be up there, but she made it!
