The skinny is back on, and hopefully we won't have to bust out the "Unskinny Dose" song again (Yes, it is STILL stuck in my head weeks later :lol: !) I'm very pleased with Trix's flat green start today.

A brief Zen update: He is back to being 100% Zen. Everyone's support earlier this week truly helped us through - thank you again!!!

Time to shake myself awake ~O) ~O) ~O) and get ready for work. Have wondeful Saturday, LL!!

Maybe tonight will be low key???? Both bean and TrixieEars could use a pokey break.

The "Unskinny Dose" song is simply an FD remake of "Unskinny Bop" by Poison that plays in my head. It came about because a few weeks ago I mentioned I was going to "unskinny" Trixie's dose, which prompted Christie to say "unskinny-ing" reminded her of "Unskinny Bob". It's been popping in and out of my head ever since, especially now that Trix is back her "skinn" 1.0u.

Got a little unplanned food experiment running here tonight...Trixie got ahold of Mario's By Nature Organics chicken and turkey ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile . In theory, this food should be low-carb since it's grain-free, but I don't know that for sure. She lapped up probably a couple tablespoons before I realized it. Well, at least she went for that, as opposed to the bowl of kibbles that was sitting right next to it! We'll see if this spikes her. If she does OK with it, I wouldn't mind adding it into the rotation for variety.

Usually in the morning, when I bring her food & shot--I used to sing to my Dear Dog Pumpkin(you are my sunshine) which a pet psychic picked up on after she went GA--They Do listen!!
SOOOO Happy about ZEN!!! We have a lot to be thankful for this week--Right?

It's looking like no harm, no foul, with the sneaking of Mario's food. We'll see how the rest of the cycle goes, but it would be nice if she had other options!

I sing all sorts of silly songs to the cats..."Born to be Wild" comes to the forefront of my mind ("Get you motor running..." - 'cause they've all got those little purring motors :lol: !). Silliness...but they bring it out in me!
 
Darn! I had finally gotten Poison out of my head and now it's back. I think I have a record somewhere but sadly no record player. :lol:

What a great day for Miss Trixie! Sneaky on the food theft but glad it all turned out!
 
Once again Amy, you have ruined my brain for the next week and now my eyes too! I did love the big hair though. I wonder why that ever went out of style? :lol: :lol: :lol:
 
Definitely! Funny how all of our radio stations play more of the old stuff than the new. My husband is convinced nothing good has come out in 20 years so they have to.

And YAY on Zen!!!! That is the greatest news!
 
I totally agree with your husband!! I'm glad I was a child of the 80s...the music was awesome, the fashions were awesome, the hair was awesome!!
 
What a great day for Miss Trixie Cat!!! Glad the By Nature didn't affect her....it caused Gracie's BG to go up.

Love the music discussion. We always sing "What's new Gussie Cat" (by Tom Jones :lol: :lol: :lol: ) to Gus when he gets squids. He loves it. All four cats have their own songs. I'm with your DH on music. HIPHOP. NO THANKS...give me Steppenwolf any day.
