Thanks to all for the information provided about the "no food" within 2 hours of preshot. I understand the theory but with Susie getting the occasional late nadir I will be prepared at +10 to give l/c if need be. I will always put her safety first. If I do have to feed within the 2 hours I will delay the shot. I cannot predict how high food takes her as it varies. I also can no longer predict her nadir because it is all over the place. I guess what I am saying is I still "do not know my cat"!

Question: I bought a few cans of Weruva and Tiki Cat that I can't find any information on the carb, calorie or phosphorous content. Does anyone have a complete list of the 3 oz cans of Weruva or Tiki Cat. I did get a good, partial list of the Weruva from someone and Jill and Snuggie gave me some information on some of the Tiki foods and I thank them.

Weruva posts all nutritional information on their website. For carbohydrates, you are looking for the Metabolized Energy value (it's usually the top chart on their nutrition pages). Tiki Cat will provide information if contacted - I'm not sure what post you got pointed to but Emily posted the info she received on a few varieties in Health - link - you then have to take that data (as Fed and/or dmb) and calculate the % of total calories that are carbs - Calculating % Calories from Carbohydrates

Surf safely, Susie!

Looking good! Fingers crossed for a day that doesn't involve too much stress or testing.

This is the link that Suzanne had posted in the CKD forum. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1sli95TBIzdhbskuAMSGVePqi0-4bWisR/view It has a lot of great information. I've not been able to figure out how to calculate the % of total calories that are carbs. Might go back and look at it again.

Did you see the few tiki cat ones on there? I thought there were more. But there are a ton of weruva!
Weruva has a “no bones” approach so their phosphorus tends to be lower. Tiki, on the other hand, does not. Their foods tend to be higher in phosphorus. Darcy used to love the chicken with the little quail eggs in there. I’m glad I made him happy with that food, in retrospect.

Yeah, I got a can of the Tiki with the Quail egg but I couldn't determine if it was low ph. I have a lot of research to do on the foods.
