ah he was a feisty guy this morning. purr purrr FLICK - i had to poke him twice to get the test done and there was plenty of blood on poke #1. he just wouldn't hold still for me. purr purrr. can't be mad when they're so dang cute, though.
i'm going to be gone til monday, probably. running to california to pick up a family heirloom in a borrowed pick up truck. kinda crazy, but it's an oak secretary that belonged to my great aunt, and her grandson is 80 and not in the best of health. his own children don't want it. my dad remembered using the desk part of it when he was a kid, and, well, i have an affinity for family furniture. i also have 1 sentimental daughter who would keep everything, another not as much sentimental daughter who would keep it if she liked it, and a son who would only keep it if he liked it. so between them someone will enjoy it someday.
but before that, i'm making lunch for a friend i met online several years ago - i'm thinking perhaps 5 or 6. she's about my age from texas and we were both involved in youth ministry - today she and her husband are coming through, so after talking daily for years we're going to meet. how cool is that?!
so i hope you all have a great weekend. our son is taking care of punkin, so he's in pretty good hands.
