I have to post today to respond to yesterday's comments!
First, not sure what is going on with her. She is off her food but again not doing that typical nauseous sniff/walk away. Either no interest or eats a bit and leaves it. Not helped that I'm on a med that has me sleeping half the day, so they are sleeping with me which makes it hard to figure appetite. I gave her both an ondansetron and cerenia since I was concerned and going out and left lots of food, different types, in the chilled catmate. Hardly any gone. Finally tried paw lickin chicken and she ate a good amount, Sam ate a bunch when she left. 5 min later I picked her up and put her in front of it and she's finishing it off. Impossible to give her the meds.
I'm pretty sure MSU, I think that's the only place? But our appt is Weds so it won't get tested til the week after. It was actually the first IM who suggested testing for acro when we got to 4u with nadirs in 200s. Then I switched IM and talked to WSU out about the study - delays due to Minnie's ICU-cation etc so only now getting it done. I asked them to add the IAA test. Thought I'd read that IAA is only 'short' term though - Minnie's now 16months past diagnosis. I've definitely read that acro doesn't necessarily mean massive doses of insulin and that often they don't show physical changes. I just don't think her lower mouth looks 'right'.
Oh, just since I'm writing an essay. Lots of drama at the local Blue Pearl. First read about it on a Seattle Cat Facebook group that the ER was closing, and somebody commented about it having a union. Then an email from the IM tthat they were shutting down IM services and the team moving to another Blue Pearl. Then an email from the IM that she's leaving altogether. I think it could be a good new TV drama. There's enough about hospitals, how about one set in an animal hospital (not the animal planet style documentary but a drama)...though I imagine it's harder to hire all the animal extras than humans!

Not that hot and they are not doing their sprawled out bellies exposed pose.Is it still hot there? .
Are they sending the blood off to Michigan State University? I’m just wondering since MSU does the Acromegaly testing on Wednesdays. If they drew her blood on Monday and sent it off, MSU could test it that same week.
Minnie is such a low dose for an Acrocat. I would not have suspected Acromegaly…. I think maybe Wendy had mentioned that sometimes it’s still possible? I fervently hope and pray that the test comes back negative! Maybe it’s just IAA.
