Yesterday was ..... BOUNCE day! Mannie started out very well, a nice blue start. We were up at +2, regained the blues by +5.5, ad then went to the stratosphere by +9. :shock: It was good to see him start to come down in the PM cycle. It was a little fast, but so it usually is with Mannie. It was nice overall not to see him take up residence on the pink floor. Well done Mannie! Lubs ya big guy! cat_pet_icon

All is well in MannieLand. :-D :-D It was HOT here yesterday - hot for an area that is so used to temps in the 70 range. So many areas here hit 95 yesterday. :shock: And Mannie was M E L T I N G..... He spent the morning outside, cruising the yard, camping out in the ground cover. By 1 PM is was just warm anywhere, and back in he came. It was nice to see him figure our that the tiled floor in front of the fireplace was cool to the touch, and so there he sat: spread eagle, with that shaved belly flat against the cool floor. :lol: :lol: He'd move about every 15 minutes once the tile warmed up under his belly, scooting a few feet for another cool spot. SMART KITTY! Not so smart though that he chose the hottest room in the house. :lol: :lol: Funny how kitties will do that. :roll: :roll: This morning we had a great test, feed, shoot and clean plate club (YAY), AND the auto feeder was used by Mannie, (well, one reminder....) :shock: Elsa still thinks it has her name on it (yes still)... so I am back to running interception on the feeder.... Normalcy in MannieLand. :-D

Have a great day everyone. I am not too sure what will be here today. Somehow I think it may be .... yard work ugh.maybe I'll go to the shore here instead. Yes! Much better option. :-D :-D

Hey everybody!!! It's still TOO HOT here, and everywhere! I think we should so water skiing! You guys wanna try? We could do tandem stuff and group skis and flips and stuff. WOO HOO! You guys in? I am ready for anything!! ~~ Mannie

Today's cooler everywhere Michelle, it just might be a good time to get that yard work done.
I don't have a shore to go to, but I do have a stream at the bottom of the hill, does that count? :lol:

Hi Jane - oh me too. That belly flush against the tile was cute. He was there this morning too when I got up, with a couple of nanners moved next to him. :lol: :lol: Boy loves his nanners!

Thanks Lisa - I thought it was a good start. Wasn't too sure what I'd get this AM, after his diving session last night. A low yellow was welcome.

Hi Barb - I thought so too. I didn't realize how cool that spot was until I touched it. It really was! and you could be right on that yard work..... best get at it, huh! well maybe.... YES (!!) on the stream - that counts! You could go and dangle your toes in it! :lol: :lol: And thanks - sure will try, so far day is shaping up nicely... even at 5:30 AM. :shock: :cool: :razz: :razz:

Morning Michelle, and thanks on the Iced Mochas, ~O) ~O) ~O) perfect for a hot day, and we better have two or three first thing this morning. Those were some nice blues yesterday for Mannie. The AMPS is almost a blue with meter variance. Wow, that is unusual for you all to have such heat and 95, whew! We are expecting 90 and humid, so it will feel much warmer. So funny with Mannie spread eagle on the fireplace. Maggie does her layout under the footstool of the recliner, which is always up for her, as the footstool serves as a bed. Have a wonderful day. Yeah a shore walk sounds neat, early before it gets too hot if Mannie permits.

Hey Mannie, water skiing tandem sounds fun and then the cheese factory, too. I'm in, especially if my bf is coming. See ya soon at curb, Mags

Morning Ann - Yupp! iced mochas are perfect... nice are cool! The blues were so nice... I had hoped he'd back there, but looks like he wants to be a sunny yellow kitty today, and I'm bot too surprised as he went down fairly fast last night. and oh yes on the 95 here - not normal for us. :shock: :? :lol: we are supposed to be cooler today - like 80. oh yeah!! Mannie will be glad. Funny - found him on the tile again this AM, so obviously it must feel good. and thanks on today - walk sounds like the ay to go. :-D :-D :-D

Maggie - OK then! We is on!!! I so wanna see Vyktor try and ski in the cheese vats. The lakes here are really good for water skiing - it will be so fun! Picks you up at the curb. ~~ Mannie

Hey, Michelle -

I hear ya' on the heat. I'm afraid it's hot and humid pretty much everywhere; it's 6pm here - 90 degrees and HUMID! My boys rarely take to their blankets these days. Oreo still mostly uses the chairs, but Hershey often sleeps on the tile floor on in the chair nearest the a/c vent! (He's no dummy!)

Good job, Mannie, on thoroughly exploring the yellow floor. How 'bout take a look around the blue floor? I hear there's neat stuff to do there! :-D

Hopefully Mannie will give you some blue soon. I bet he was glad to have a shaved belly with the 95. Heat is so hard on a long haired cat. We finally got a break from the heat and humidity today with some rain that knocked it down to 80. It felt really nice.

Hi Libby - oh wow on the 90 there at 6PM... we cooled down alot since yesterday - 75 right now, and actually very nice outside. I think Hershey is one smart kitty! Knows exactly where to go to stay cool. Well done Hershey! And I told him the same ting on the blue floor. Hopefully he will return there pronto! ;-)

Hi Amy - I wonder.... a nice flat yellow AM cycle, down a little for pmps, and just what is he thinking?

Hi Carla - I hope so too on the blue - it was nice when we did have that. :-D I think so too on the shaved belly - it had to have felt good on that tile. I agree - it has to be hard for these long-haired kitties. Nice on your rains. I bet that was more than welcome!

Hi guys,
Mannie, you made blue! The Blue Mannie Group will be swingin' tonight. Michelle, I'm glad that your weather cooled off. The 90s are too hot for the PNW!! Poor Mannie, having to sprawl on the tiles to keep cool.

I'll try to take some pics tomorrow on my climb and post them on Wednesday. It's supposed to be good weather.

Hi Ella - A fr sure on the Blue Mannie Group - lots of tunes to be heard tonight! And I so agree - 90/95 is just too hot for us. 75 today, so I am glad we cooled off. I know on Mannie.... it was the cone cool surface upstairs. Silly boy would not go to the basement. No surprise in a way, he prefers to be where we beans hang out. :-D YAY!!! Enjoy your climb, and I'd love pics. but that's me - photos are my thing. even just one pic from your climb would be so cool. and thanks on the evening - will do!
