Hmm...husband got stung by a wasp tonight, which usually means rushing to the hospital so I had to shoot Harley a little early (30 minutes) but he was at 220 so I figured we would be okay. Five hours later and lots of benedryl and it looks like the husband won't be going to emergency. But, Harley is at 88 at +5. This is good. I have chosen to work as long as I can tonight to keep a close eye on BOTH of them. At which point would it be safe with Harley?

Hey Kris

Glad DH is ok.

You want to see a couple rising, non-food influenced numbers before you call it a night.

Hope you get some sleep.

Haha, thank you! Yep, we have 5 epi pens and dissolvable benedryl for a reason...as well as living within 1.5 miles from the hospital...but so far so good :)

I haven't given him any food...I have a bunch of work to try to keep me awake...besides BG is there a +? that is a good marker for being a safe zone?

It looks to me like he bounced quickly and is coming back down. Sometimes they will nadir and sometimes they will come down to the next PS. Big help, aren't I? Sorry....because they are cats, it's hard to predict.

If you look at his a.m. Cycle on 8/3, he was clearing a bounce and was still coming down late in the cycle. Sometimes he nadirs late, sometimes early. I would just look for rising numbers. You don't want him to keep dropping so you wake up to a 45, for example.

He has not been wildly predictable :(

He does seem to surf nicely during the day, but fall more at night. Not sure why...I feed the same amount.

Starting to yawn...debating if coffee at 2am is a bad idea since I do have to be in the field tomorrow morning ~O)

Alright, I tried to hang in there, but it's 3:30 and I am crashing :( He's at 74 right now...do I give some MC food? Got to get at least a few hours sleep before work tomorrow :(

He was at 76 at 4 in the morning and I had to be up by 8 so I had to get some rest. Gave him a tablespoon of MC wet food and 4 hours later he was at 300. Sigh. I need to try to get him his shot earlier so this happens earlier and not somewhere between 4-6 am.
