Zener had a nice visit to the yellow floor yesterday but back to stinky pinky this morning. Otherwise, he is doing ok. The slipper elm bark seems to be helping. It's hard to tell because he has so much variation day-to-day on how he feels and eats. Can't make it easy on his beans!  We do dearly love our boy and want to do our best for him.

Today is a sad day in LL. We all mourn the passing of Lucy and send comfort vines to Mariko and civie Ginger. Thinking of ailing kitties and beans, Dyana's J.D. (seeing the IM vet today), Molly's DM and DF, Amy's DF, Wendy's DM and DA, Tricia, Cinco and civie Sasha. Paws crossed for OTJ trials. You can do it, kitties!  Happy Monday, LL!

Time to leave the pink floor Z-man! YOu have been hanging out there way too much lately. Give mamaLizbean a break. I hope the SEB is helping, it's been great for Tess.

Re: 8/4 Zener AMPS 339

I sure hope he's decided to slide down by now. Be nice to your bean...she's only one bean trying to do the work of two beans! :-D Hope you all have a great day, Liz!

Well, drat! We are stuck in the stinky pinkys! And that can only mean one thing: DOSECREASE! I'll give it a couple more cycles, then up we will go. Zener got 100 ml of fluids this afternoon. Boy howdy, we are getting to be old pros. Thank you, Marje, for making the video. And thank you to handsome Mr. Gus for being such a star. :-D Thank you to Mike, too. Zener's tummy was a little bloated tonight so he got a nice tummy massage and then he ate a little more. He also did a nice yard patrol to make sure everything is OK back there.

OT: Tillie continues with a few sneezes each day. Otherwise she is fine with eating, peeing, pooping and playing. Any suggestions? Does she need to go to the vet?
Liz

Ok, Z...you heard it...work that juice or else...your bean's trigger finger is getting itchy!!!

I'm glad the fluids are going well! Trix started off easy, went into a feisty stage, and now she's all nice-n-mellow for fluids. I think they make a big difference.

Sending anti-sneeze vines for sweet Tillie. Have a great evening!!

When Furball starts sneezing I give her 1/4 of a 10 mg tablet of Zyrtec. The vet told me you can give it two times a day. I hope Tillie feels better soon.

Pink Mountain, Pink City, Zener is really touring around the pink regions today. OK Zener, now's your chance to surprise the bean overnight. Down you go or up your dose goes!

Vines out to Tillie. I've not had experience with sneezy cats except for ones with drippy eyes and URI.

Hi guys,
Z Man, please come down to a better color. Mama LizBean is talking dosecrease! Here's to a good day tomorrow!

Have you tried L lysene for Tillie's sneezies? 1/4 tsp. mixed into her food twice a day. It is tasteless.

How is Anne's trip going? I've missed a few days because of our family gathering.

Have a good evening,

Ella & Rusty

Hi Liz.

Here is a great website for info on giving antihistamines to cats. It's amazing how many of them are safe to use.

Antihistamines for Cats

I've used Zyrtec, Benadryl and Chlortrimeton with mine. I think Zyrtec worked the best.

Zener, you need to listen to your LL aunties and slide down out of the stinky pinkies. A handsome boy like you would look much better in yellow or blue. Let's work on that, okay?

Sending anti-sneezing vines for Tillie, and good tummy and safe sliding vines for Zener.

When Furball starts sneezing I think it is from the pollen, but I've never taken her to the vet to find out. The sneezing usually clears up in a couple of days. If it didn't, I would take her to the vet. I figure it's a good place to start. Years ago I had a URI that all of my cats got and then passed around a second time. If one of them starts sneezing, I try the Zyrtec right away to keep that from happening again.

Tricia, that is a great site. Liz, you already have cypro (on the list Tricia posted) you might try a tiny bit of that for Tillie.
