WCR: All Ps in place. Appy is still a bit iffy, so I added 14% Friskies Turkey & Cheese in Gravy (one of her faves) and she was eating as I left this morning. I did get some snuggles this morning and at btb. When I got home, she was snoozing on the couch, snuggled with her camel. It was sooooo adorable. Right now, she's curled up next to me, snoring while I decide if it's worth driving back to Orlando tomorrow to tell the people at the Apple Store that they messed up and didn't give me my $100 gift card. :YMSIGH: I'm worried that they'll send me on a wild goose chase like yesterday and eventually tell me that I can't have it now. :-x

Question: How long is a bag of fluid good for? And where should I be storing it? Thank you.

Sending healthy vines to all our sugar kitties and their hoomins! My thoughts and prayers are still with Mariko and Melanie during this sad time. Blessings!

I know what you mean about trying to get a store to honor a promise.....

I would call and speak to a manager and ask them to mail it to you.... or e-mail it to you.....
they should be willing to pay for a stamp since they messed up.

That's such a cute picture. Enjoy those snuggles when you get them. I hope she's feeling better today.

I think Rhiannon has a good idea with calling the store instead of going there.

Bags of Lactated Ringers should be stored at room temp. An unopened bag will last quite some time; there should be an expiration date on the bag.

Very cute, Shasta! :-D :-D Anne said a spiked bag is good for 2 weeks. We keep ours stored at room temperature too. I would call Apple and ask them to send the gift card to you. They might be able to do it electronically. It should be clear from your record that you didn't receive it. Paws crossed!

If I remember correctly, I think our vetty said an open bag of LRS would last maybe a month....but hopefully someone else with more knowledge and experience will verify that. We do fluids daily, so our bags are only around for 10 days.

I hope everything works out with your Apple GC...what a hassle!!

Thanks everyone for checking in on us tonight and all the info. However, this means that I need to get a new bag-o-fluids! :lol: We've had this bag since the end of June...though we didn't start using it until early July. Well, I'll call the vet tomorrow and see if I can pick up a new bag and needles. :YMSIGH:

As for Apple, I called and talked to one of their people and she said that I have to bring my receipt to the store for them to validate the claim. grr_red I'm going to call again tomorrow and make sure that I have to physically show up at the stupid store in order to get the gift card. I don't understand why they can't look up my account...hell, everything is on the computer and they ARE a computer store. However, my neighbor is headed to Orlando on Wednesday to pick up her husband from the airport and she's willing to drive me. I started feeling like I was wasting my potential gift card on gas!!! :lol:

Shasta is curled up next to me and her appy has been better tonight. Oh, and the camel is not a cat nip animal. Technically, it's a squeaky dog toy, but I thought he was just too cute and I bought him for Shasta. She's not as taken with him as I am, but every once in a while I find her snuggled with him. ;-)
