HAPPY CATURDAY!!!

Can't seem to shake the cobwebs this morning...Hershey had a nice green surf last night's cycle and I felt confident leaving him at +10 (5am) at (69). Was dreading what AMPS might be, but was pleasantly surprised.

All is well around here. Doug is going to try the scone recipe we got from Wendy/DH/allrecipes.com. (Love that site!) We didn't have cream of tartar and didn't want to substitute the first time out, so he's gone to the store. I'll let you know how they turn out!

Think I'll see what Olympics are on...

HMMM scones love them although never have made them from scratch we just buy the mixes pumpkin is my favorite  lovely start for Hershey

Re: 8/4 Hershey AMPS(116) +3.75(113) +5(64)

Hey, Lisa - We've never made them...well, Jessica made them at a friend's house...

Yeah, still holding my breath because you never know which way Hershey will go. I keep thinking he'll become more predictable, but I think that may be a pipe dream. ;-)

Yummy, scones!! I made some once with parmesan and chilli, and ate them with onion jam :-D Let us know how yours turned out!
Thanks for visiting, and for being so sweet to us, Libby!

Hi Libby, what a nice cycle today for Hershey. Nice green there, too! I love scones, especially with my morning coffee. I often get a scone with coffee when I meet up with a friend for coffee. They must be done by now and hope you saved us some! :-D Have a wonderful day.

Re: 8/4 Hershey AMPS(116) +3.75(113) +5(64)

I love cranberry scones (but have only made them from a King Arthur Flour mix).

Hi guys,
Really nice numbers for Hershey today. Rusty hopes to be able to hang out with his pals at the green lagoon again soon. Enjoy the weekend and thanks for visiting Rusty's condo during our busy 2 weeks.

I'm a fan of cinnamon scones! I like Jane's idea of a savory scone, though.

Hershey's having some impressive cycles. He seems to like this dose.

Re: 8/4 Hershey AMPS(116) +3.75(113) +5(64) +7(52)

@Lu - Hey, Don't know if this is his magic dose or not, but he seems to like it for now; YAY!

@Jane - Your scones sound yummy. Not too sure about the onion jam, though. Sounds like they'd be good with chili beans!

@Ann - We ate over half of the scones! :o C'mon over and have one...or two...or three...

@Ella - I was thinking craisins...maybe with orange? I made my first sweet potato casserole last Thanksgiving and used Craisins instead of raisins. My BIL was leery of them, having never heard of them. Tasted it and he was hooked! Said he was going to find him a bag!!

Hershey is looking forward to seeing Rusty on the green floor soon! (Hope Hershey decides to make long-term reservations on the blue and green floors!)

@Sienne - mmmm, cinnamon scones! Thanks, I hope he continues to like it! Now, I'm trying to figure out what to do for vacation so I don't have to stay up late nights with him. Hate to lose momentum, but wondering if I should decrease for those couple of days. (Second week of Aug)

Drum Roll, please...

Doug's first attempt at scones was a SUCCESS!! He made with them with just blueberries, but Jessica and I were thinking of other combinations for future attempts. :-D Thanks, Everybody, for visiting!

+7 (52) Was going to encourage him to eat, but he's so happy in Doug's lap. I'll wait a few minutes...
*Finished his +5 meal

SCONES???? Yum - a fan here no matter what kind they are. Well done Doug!

And will you look at Hershey go! Wonderful numbers Hershey, but time to come up just a little bit, 'K?

Enjoy your day today - sounds like it is off to a good start!

Re: 8/4 Hershey AMPS(116) +3.75(113) +5(64) +7(52)

Hershey, dude. You're NOT color blind! Woot!

Hershey must've listened to you, Michelle, because he came up. Hope he surfs a little longer. :-D Yes, the scones were tasty, but I think we'll let him practice some more. ;-) Oh, how we sacrifice...

Hey, Bob - I'm liking this surfing! - Hershey

PMPS (308) +12 - Shot .9u at 7:10pm - eww!

Guess that's the price you pay for two NICE cycles??? I keep thinking the bounces will get smaller...

Re: 8/4 Hershey AMPS(116) PMPS(308) eww!

Oh boo on the bounce! What a great run Hershey had though! Very nice. A little bounce tonight and maybe he'll start all over tomorrow.

All those scones sound yummy to me! I hope you saved me some.

Thanks, Melanie - I hope he starts over tomorrow, too. C'mon down, there are still a few scones left...of course, I can't promise they'll be here after breakfast

+5 (286) - Fed - Glad he at least found yellow...

Goodnight...

Re: 8/4 Hershey AMPS(116) PMPS(308) +4(319) +5(286) +6.5(285

I was still up, so thought I'd get a +6.5 instead of getting up in a little while...

+6.5 (285) Well, THAT was exciting...Goodnight...

Re: 8/4 Hershey AMPS(116) PMPS(308) +4(319) +5(286) +6.5(285

Glad the scones worked out Libby. And yes, Doug needs to keep practising
Great morning run for Hershey - I guess he's allowed a little bounce time so you can sleep.

Re: 8/4 Hershey AMPS(116) PMPS(308) +4(319) +5(286) +6.5(285

Nice run, Hershey. Hope the bounce clears this morning and you're back in the blues and greens. I had a scone with chorizo in it yesterday. Savory ones are GOOD, I can assure you. We didn't make them but they were a nice treat for an hour or so when we left the house (a rare thing these days with Charlie's drama).

Keep up the good work, and nice to see the progress old Hershey.
