Busy week with my doctors appt Thursday. Took a temporary reduction for that so he would be safe while we were out. We brought it back up that night but made it a skinny 1.75 being that he had dropped to 88 on a full 1.75. This morning I almost upped it to the full 1.75 but thought I’d leave it another cycle or two. Well this afternoon he decided to drop, straight down on the Libre, while we were making dinner which was quick being it was just hot dogs! Went from 165 to 78 in under 10 minutes.
I had already decided after Wendy’s post to reduce his reduction point to 80 and he still went under that. So,
im Going to drop his dose to 1.5 and will see how it does this time. We keep going from diving board to trampoline!

Hoping everyone has a great weekend!

Hi Deb,
It’s nice to see those blue numbers for Tiger yesterday.
Have you been able to do any manual tests when he goes low to see what that shows on a handheld meter?
For us…when Ivy’s is in the 70s or 80s on her Libre, she’s over 100 on a handheld meter so I don’t take a reduction (unless I see it on the handheld meter).

It would be nice if Tiger could see more blues if you knew that 78 was close or actually higher on a handheld.
Then you wouldn’t have to reduce.
Just a thought. Of course you know him best :)
I hope he’s feeling well and you are too with your physical therapy.
Have a great holiday weekend.

Hi Deb,

wow, that was a sharp drop at an unusual time, so late in the cycle! I know it is frustrating to search for the right dose. But so good, Tiger is seing better numbers! Trying to manually test the lows is also my challenge. I have the same experience as Staci, that sometimes if I see 80 on the libre and I manage to test, Binie may be well over 100 on the handheld. But sometimes she is not, so unfortunately there seems to be no general rule. And I don't always manage to test her so I also take reductions sometimes just based on the libre number. We can only do our best and you are doing so great with tiger!

Hope you have a nice weekend! :bighug::bighug::bighug:
