All is good on the Templeton front. He's decided he doesn't like his Savage raw rabbit, right after I bought the big 24oz tub and divided it into little 1oz portions to freeze. Ribeye is always a hit, so we're going with that since I grabbed one at the store yesterday. He loves raw beef, so if I can just consistently purchase it, then I can look into completers and make his diet more (or all) raw. It's just so damn hard to make it to the store frequently enough with everything else that's going on. I do need to make it more of a priority.

Not this week! I need to defrost a fresh portion and just casually put it alongside his regular food. I've read that's a good way to get them used to it smelling like food. And then eventually they will consider eating it.

Did I ever tell you, my husband who has basically banned any cooking of meat in the house, doesn't blink at the raw meat for Temp.
In the raw state, it basically doesn't smell, so I get that.

I'm to quarantine the meat in the back corner of the fridge, but no, doesn't smell until it's cooked.
Maybe there's a chance for you!
He does let me make stews or curry, but anything at high heat or not covered in liquid gets made outside.

It's a complete raw diet. https://savagecatfood.com Just defrost and serve. They also have chicken and duck. I think it's not as exciting as his canned wet, so I gotta transition it back in slowly.
It's on Susan Thixton's approved list of foods.

I was thinking about it for one of my other cats (and maybe Jill too) who is on a novel protein diet but it has beef ingredients in it so that won’t work
