we made it another night with no food between midnight and 5:45 am.
I don't see any great drop which I'm guessing is a good thing.

Shadow actually slept at my feet on the couch until 5 am when she started pestering me to get up, I"m hungry.
But i just look at the clock and pretend to sleep, she's used to that.
I'm off to dr appt in santa fe this early morning and my son is going to come sleep on the couch and keep an eye.
He tried testing last night . He knows how but he hasn't done it by himself successfully yet.
But if he had to, I feel like he could do it.

I'm going to find out how much the lantus is at sam's club.

Nice AMPS today! The food cut off must be working. How sweet that she tries to wake you up. Just don't open your eyes. It's all over once I open my eyes. :lol:

I get our pens from Sams here and it is $225 for 5 pens. I'm not sure if the price depends on your location or not, but that is what I pay.

Have a great human vetty appt! Great that your son will be there to watch Shadow.

Great AMPS for Shadow, no late night munchies seems to work for her. Hope your son has better luck with testing today, takes practice to really get used to it. Hope your appt goes well, have a great day!

Hi guys ... pretty amps for shadow!! We try not to make any movements in bed before 7 a.m. .. otherwise we don't hear the end of it from our ever so starving feline friends! Have a great weekend!

shadow got a couple o kibbles of dry dog food (evo at least)



I went to Petco today and found other canned food that I've been wanting to try.
wellness turkey ... finally
and Before grains.....

and the quail finally.

Great day for Shadow!!! Even with the kibble look at those great numbers!!
Hope you have a good dr visit--Good for your son learning to test-- Hope he does learn, it aint easy.

Shadow's numbers look great as usual. :smile:

Racci's the same way. If she sees me moving in the morning she comes and stares at me until I open my eyes then she starts telling me how hungry she is.

They must all have the same teacher or something. :lol:

dr visit was just the ear dr.
I get to have minor surgery at least 3 or 4 times a year.
myringotomy.
My left eardrum was relocated over my eustacian tube and it sucks itself in and collapses unless they put
and keep a tube in it.
This is the same procedure they do to kids to drain their ears only I don't get anesthesia and they do.

my daughter stayed home from school today. getting whatever the first illness of the school season is ,
fever, congestion, headache, achy.
So she tested shadow for me and was so glad when I came home so she could go back to bed.

Oh, wow, Rhiannon - so sorry you have to have surgeries every year. :o

It looks like the holding off on the food is working. NICE numbers for Shadow, even with the contraband! I order Wellness from Mr. Chewy - theirs is the cheapest I found online and much cheaper than the pet stores. It's nice to have it delivered to the door, too...which reminds me...I need to order tonight or tomorrow...

I found insulin was different area to area. Our Levemir was cheapest at Costco, but only by a dollar so, from the mom & pop's pharmacy near our house. And, it wasn't worth the gas to make a trip to Costco. i always said I should buy stock in baby something...diapers, wipes, something. Now I'm thinking maybe it should be in insulin something or testing supplies!
