We've had Cleo at 1.75U for quite awhile now (two weeks). We had a little spike at the beginning, but that's definitely worked out of Cleo's system. We've seen a couple of nice green nights, but overall it's still mostly blue mid-cycles and a mix of blue and yellow at the beginning/end of cycles. So, since we're still trying to move down more, we went ahead and increased to 2.0U. Hopefully it's the right move. At least with a long weekend we'll have plenty of opportunity to test and keep a close eye on Cleo!

All of her 5 P's are in place, except for we're still having litterbox problems and I'm not real sure how to address them. Sometimes she uses the litterbox, and sometimes she doesn't. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it, including different types of litter or how often her boxes are cleaned. I think I remember reading about something called "cat attract" which I will need to look into. We're also going to have our carpets cleaned on Monday, so maybe getting rid of any lingering scent will help as well. I'm definitely open to any helpful suggestions!

Here's the info on the Cat Attract litter.

I would definitely try to get mid-cycle/spot checks over the long weekend. Cleo sees green mid-cycle at the 1.75u dose. The increase will, hopefully bring her overall level down but it would be good to have some spot checks to see where her nadir is going.

Oohhhhhh I recently discovered Cat Attract Litter and I SWEAR by it! It's a LIVESAVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was hesitant about whether it would be absorbent enough too, but it's hands down the most absorbent litter I've found, and I can positively say I've tried 90% of them. I have a big guy + diabetes = lakes & lakes of pee! No litter seemed to be able to handle it for a while there; lots of times it was just reduced to a muddy/clay like mess instead of clumping.

Yes yes yes, give it a try! And each bag has a coupon book in it with a $1 off coupon on your next bag. Who doesn't like a discount? ;-)

getting the carpet cleaned will also help.
And after that's done, if you can figure out a way to even put furniture or an object over the area where
it was happening, that's also a good deterrent.
If their is concrete underneath or wood , there is always just enough for them to smell and be tempted again.

Well, looks like Cleo may be having a little bit of a bounce with the dose increase. Normally she's a little bit down from her PMPS by +2, but instead tonight she's up 45! We'll see how this shakes out We'll definitely be getting those spot checks in!

Thanks so much for the links and comments on Cat Attract. I will definitely be giving it a try! Having her using the litterboxes again consistently would really be a huge improvement.
