Achilles seems to be doing well with the decrease to 1.25 from 1.5. :smile: But it's still a bit of a guessing game figuring out the dosing unit we get those 1/2 unit marked syringes.

Lots of testing last night thanks to DH staying up late (and Achilles cooperating) :smile:
Here's a summary of his numbers yesterday:

Automatic feeder, 1/2 unit syringes andd FortiFlora have been ordered. We're still experimenting with a variety of wet foods to find the favorites. So far the front runners are FF chicken feast, FF chicken and tuna feast, FF elegent medleys turkey fare. We're still struggling to get Achilles and Fluffy (civ) to take to Wellness and EVO. I hope the FortiFlora will help.

Great numbers last night...that was great that DH did all those tests! So great!!
I see that Achilles is on his way down again....trying to get back to those blues and greens...very nice!

Have you tried mixing some of the FF with the Evo 95%? I won't even tell you what I go through with the meals and all the mixing I do, but I think the Evo 95% and the Wellness are better quality foods so if you mix them, they will be getting some of the good stuff along with the FF. It might not work for Achilles, but it works with my two.

Keep an eye on Achilles numbers this morning. That's a big drop for +1 -- ordinarily, you'd be seeing a food spike at this time. The Lantus will begin to kick in at +2 or +3 and numbers may start to drop with some momentum. I'd get a +2 to see how things are going.

I didn't expect his +4 number to be higher than his +1. Historically, +1 and +2 have been higher than AMPS. I'm confused by todays numbers so far and I'm off to work now so we won't be able to test again unitl +10 or +11. It is typical -- just when I start to see a pattern developing he goes and throws the numbers out of whack. He is keeping us on our toes -- that's for sure.

I'm stumped as to why his +4 number is higher than his +1 number. He usually starts heading downward, and fast by +4.

Our automatic feeder arrived today! Yipee!!

I'm hoping it will help even out some of the highs and lows we have been seeing from Achilles lately.
