The vet told me to only feed twice a day. I did give her a treat now to see if there's any change. I think that helped.

This twice a day feeding concept made sense for fast-acting insulins like Vetsulin where the insulin drops the BG sharply at onset and you needed food on board to counteract that.

With gentler, long-acting, depot insulins like Lantus, you want to feed smaller meals through the day. It is also easier on the pancreas. Remember not to feed 2 hours before the shot so that you don't get a food-influenced number at pre-shot.

This is so confusing. I've been feeding right before the shot. I am getting a different antibiotic today.
