My partner did AMPS and.. surprise.. as always when he does it, blue. I don't know if its a coincidence or not.
Anyway, she was fed and had her 0.25units and will recheck at +3.

I am feeling so guilty today. I love Belle to pieces and she has always been so snuggly and loving... since we've started poking constantly she hardly ever comes around to be loved or give love. I feel like she is disheartened with all the poking, like when I go near her now she looks afraid and like she feels I am going to poke her even if I just want to snuggle.... It actually brings me to tears that she doesn't act like the old Belles :( Anyway... Just putting it out there.

I know the poking is probably harder on the care giver than the kitty. I'm looking at Susie's ear (the one I test) and I feel so badly for her. She is so good. She rarely fights me but I still feel badly, too. You are not alone. I'm sorry she is a little distant with you. Just try to love on her as much as you can and offer a healthy treat when you have to poke and shoot.

Max was easy to test. I didn’t think he would be. I tested and gave meds when needed with him in a bathroom sink and only there. When he needed fluids it was always in the same location. That way he knew he was safe everywhere else. He also got treats after every poke and a special one after fluids as he really hated them. Once he got the routine down and the special treat he waited if I didn’t give it right away instead of running under the bed.

She never runs… she takes it like a champ but she doesn’t behave the same as she used to. She doesn’t take off or try to get away but just not as quick to snuggle. We have a routine too and there’s usually only two places I will check her BG and only one place I give her insulin. Anyway. Just crossing fingers for remission one of these days  feeling a little down today about everything

My cat Dexter finally has figured the routine to get food down for the most part. He every few tests knows to hop up on the cat tree and lay down so I can get his ear.

Lately, he's been wanting attention before and after it so I'll give him chin scratches & ear rubs (also helps warm it up).

The rest of the day, all 23 hrs & 58 minutes I don't exist. My fiancé is his preference. I understand how it feels. :(

I think she knew how I was feeling. She has been snuggling for the better part of 20 minutes now… such a sweet girl :joyful:

PMPS +3 was 121. Looking like an upward trend for some reason. If she did get into contraband, we have no idea what it would have been. There is nothing accessible to her. Hoping we aren’t developing another UTI
